Bought me self a case mod kit for £15 the other day.  Then I set about my case with the jigsaw (a new good quality blade makes all the difference) and found the job suprisingly easy...  apart from putting the fekin glass in the rubber seal then the rubber seal in the cutout in the case lid..... damn I though bike tyres were a pain in the ass :-)

I'm just waiting on the cathode light for inside then all will be complete.... well apart from a neon CPU fan and a blowhole fan in the top.

I managed to bork the rubber seal tho  :x   its only really noticable with flash photography

when you DIY it you have to have the seal really, to compensate for inaccuracies, altho my cut was to the millimetre :-)  if you have a 50 tonne press handy and a jig then you could stamp the hole out to about 100th of an inch with no need for the seal :-)

BTW, for the next lan I'm havin either a luminous matrix display in my 5-1/4 inch bay or a TACO-meter (just like a car RPM dial) that has a readout that is linked to CPU utilisation.....  :smash:

dMw SAFETY TIP Number 113:
When cutting out the top blow hole, always remember not to jigsaw through your flatbed scanner  :D

I disagree.  If your gonna sit a flatbed scanner over your blowhole, it needs to have a hole in it otherwise it's a waste of time...

Some pixies. No cars. No talent.

Aga

All you need now to finish the job is a full on Evo III bodykit, 4 inch magnex 'zorst and slammed on 18's. Then you'd be ready to go cruising for some chicks in your fully mod'ed beast.     :smokin:

Either that or a new keyboard.....

Stryker

Thanks for the saftey tip tea leaf,  the scanner has been moved as I just know I'd forget :-)

AGA, I've got a new keyboard and mouse, wireless.  Memorex wireless keyboard and mouse set £19.99 from scan, special offer deal, front page I think.

nice 1 stryker, the only thing i have against it is that rubber!!!!

urghhh, wtf why do people insist on puttin that horibbe thick rubber on it looks like a bike tire, i much prefur to have a thin rubber mold, if u have to have the window removable then mount it on velcro or summin like that behind.

Stryker

my thoughts too sheepy.

The hole I cut is near perfect so I could get away with just some chrome brade around the edge...

FWIW getting the perspex in the rubber and the rubber in the hole was as hard as getting a bike typre back on the rim :-)

sheepy

sum chrome would look cool, or some very fine rubber, the type done by ccm is good
