Ask everyone to hold at the beginning of the next round.  Bung sv_alltalk on, and then get everyone to sound off with what they'd like to play next.
Alternatively someone could just pipe up at the start over text:

"Want a smaller map? Snipertowers maybe?"
[insert grunts of approval/indifference]
"Okay, changing now - any objections?"
*wait*
*map change*

It shouldnt' be rocket science - nine times out of ten it's pretty obvious if a map is too big for the # of players on the server.

Sorry for the double post, but I didnt 'see this on page 3

I dont' think it's a good idea to split the servers this way - it could easily split the number of people in the games any evening, with half wanting to play fun maps and half wanting normal, with the effect that we just end up with two servers with barely enough people to have a decent game on, instead of one reasonable full one. The original idea of having fun maps on later (though I wouldn't be able to join in) is a better plan.

I'd just like to put on record that I do not want do get any where near GhostMjr's motions.  A super-sized server of prunes as a youngster put me way off any motion involvement.  Benny, feel free to step in and take over any time now you hear? ;)
