Hey guys

My dad has recently got ADSL at his new house. Hes currently with BT Broadband.
We decided to buy a Router [ Zoom ADSL X5 its called :-S] im knew to all stuff like this!

I set it up easily, and had a quick check in the Zoom Console. [Enabling me to enter
the software on the router.] It contains things like ADSL Status , Setups etc. You
prob already know this. I had to enter my Username and password here as my ADSL line supposed
to be always on. I also changed the Router access password.
The Router Assigns each computer with an ip np's.

Since getting ADSL the line keeps dropping really randomly. Somtimes lasts hours, then may
drop a few times in a period of an hour.
When the ADSL line is down it shows: Activation on status when online: SHOWTIME.
Ive checked errors and it says: CRC errors 9 downstream 4 upstream. Loss of signal 7 - 7
There are LOADS more figures etc but dunny understandy :(
I have no clue what to do. Not sure if its an ISP prob or Router settings. I thought
maybe the line drops a single packet and the router thinks it should reset itself for the
loss of data. Im sure their is somone else with this router or similar software?

ANY ideas are greatly apprieciated.
If i need to give ne information, or the that info that i have given is
just totally crap then ill sort it out. Cause i literally have no clue tbh :-/

Thanks

Dan

BT need to be called to test the line and if possible increase the gain on the line. The signal is probably dirty hence the errors and dropouts.
