:(  Sadly today I was at a friend and relatives funeral. He was killed last Sunday night after a car pulled out of a junction not seeing his motorbike approaching (I KNOW the feeling of dread well, im half bionic following a bike falling off) knocked him off his bike into the oncoming traffic where he was struck again by an oncoming car. He a lil  older than me but still 42  is too young to die and leave 3 young kids. Before i set off this morning there was a constant rumble of bikes for a good 2 minutes going past my house, all heading to his funeral.( Iknow a lot of the guys that were passing) After the service it was time to travel the 2 miles to the graveyard, and the hearse set off followed by every conceivable type of bike from traillies, moto x,gixxers,a monkey bike up to the mv augasta's and  dukes. I swear the hearse mustve been at the graveside before the last bike left the church. It was a sight to see the town at a standstill with a procession of bikes following a hearse. It was strange though seeing a church half  full of leather clad bikers.(Standing room only half an hour b4 service) Anyway it was a sight I will never forget,a very poignant few minutes and im sure  its just what he woulda wanted for his last taxi.
 RIP m8

I've seen two good biking mates go and now wont go near one.
Shame it's mostly idiots pulling out that does it they just don't look hard enough to see bikers.

Sorry to hear that Scot.

Agree with Smite. Most drivers don't look hard enough to see cars coming far less bikes :(

DogMeat

Most drivers don't look.

Couldn't agree more...

It's so difficult losing a much loved friend, but somehow a little easier to deal with when you know that so many others are feeling the loss too.

My lads will NOT be riding motorbikes on the road ...FULL STOP...  I went to too many RTA's as a firefighter.
