Just see it and you will know it is great ;)

Yeah very enjoyable. I borrowed episodes 4/5/6 on DVD nearly straight after. The digital enhancements are great. They even put the new  Anakin Skywalker (DarkVader)as a hologram in the last scene.

Go see.

Excellent film, highly recommend it!

Huge disappointment tbh. The story was terribly forced when present. 15 mins of unnecessary lasersword fighting could be replaced by storytelling for a change. When will they learn that special effects doesn't substitute story?

Acting was mediocre at best but I guess I shouldn't blame them as there isn't much of a script. Just compare their performances in ep 1 and 2 and you will see a noteable difference. Padmé and Anakin are worst in my opinion especially in scenes together. The Emperor is supposed to be scary but it only comes out rather silly if you compare his presence in Return of the Jedi for example.

If you didn't like ep 1 or 2 you will probably not like ep 3 either.

The only positive thing is that Jar Jar Binks only is present in one scene and doesn't say anything.

Just seen it and i was highly dissappointed.

A film that has no uplifting points just the baddies completely win kind of ruins what i get out of a film. Yes i know that is what 4, 5 and 6 are for but come on give us something....... less flashy effects a bit more story.

ONE good point i enjoyed it more than 1 and 2.

Film was awful.

They could of put some kind of unexpected twists in, rather than excuses for more and more special effects.

But the main things that bug me are:

Why do laser based weapons travel slower than light?

Why does no one break up the shotguns of the PJ wearing jedi? "deflect this"

"the force is strong in this one", but we can't detect the powers of the sith lord we keep having meetings with.

Yoda is not only suddenly being able to run around when he feels like a fight, but he runs away for no aparent reason after a fairly naff fight.

They send four people to arrest the big sith lord! four! surround the bastard and dont let him escape!

Laying with the ends of your legs paddling around in lava and surviving? come within a few meters of that stuff and you'll be burnt to a crisp.

And my personal low point in the film was vaders "nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"  :pinch:

I really liked it. It was a lot better than Episodes 1 and 2 ..... but they could have done so much more with the story.  I didn't like the fact that Padme went from just pregnant to having the baby so quickly, it just didn't fit with the pace of the film and the turning of Anakin to the dark side was far too easy. Palpatine: "Hey Anakin I can help you save Padme, so go and kill all your Jedi friends and make sure you get the kids too.", Anakin: "mmmm, that sounds like a naughty thing to do but OK"

And that's it, Star wars is over  :(

Wonder how long it will be until the box set release!?

Thulsa Doom

Kinda disappointed also.
Was better than 1&2 but pales significantly in comparison to 4-6.
It was kind of like '24' in space, where everything happens so damn quickly it defies time.

Exactly - not sure why anyone would have expected different.  You were just setting yourselves up for a fall if you thought otherwise

I enjoyed it for what it was, but Star Wars ended in 1983 for me.
If I wanted you to understand I would have explained it better
