My first game at the dmw-server also. It got pretty intense! Some very tough guys on the MEC/PLA side, I must say! Could do with a little more squad play, though...

I think it wil evolve as people learn the maps and the controls. Use voicecomms more and get a commander elected and things will get moving.

FBG

There are often to many people not in a squad, it makes it difficult for a commander to really do anything. Although there have been more squads being formed lately i hope that the trend continues.

Glad to see you enjoyed yourself Smite, your already a better pilot than me (git) - I'm there for you as gunner whenever you want me mate.

As for the game play side of it, chill guys, it'll come eventually, on the grand scale of things I'm new to tcs & the whole concept of playing on public servers properly, but we'll get there, I'm sure tcs didn't just happen over night, tbf2 will evole & grow as we get more used to the game (if we keep with it long enough - looks like enough ppl are liking it so far)

DuVeL

Maybe it's an idea to pimp our TBF2-server a bit on a few forums from clans we know very good (like 12K and BoD), I know a few people who are allready interested in our gameplay and think they would like it in BF2 aswell.

Hippy

One of the [DoGs] was asking about our BF2 server the other day, (i say ask, i mean it went:

DoG:Hippy, you have a BF2 server.
dMw:Yep
DoG:You play much?
dMw:I dont, some others do
dMw:You should play there, they want more people.)

That was also my concern. Most non-squad players tend to do the rambo. Obviously, I guess, when you are not updated by the commander...so. join or create a squad :-)

I had a great time playing BF2 tonight and, two weeks into owning this game, I am now convinced that this really is a superb team-based multiplayer.

Tonight's highlight was undoubtably the round played on Kirkand. The map lasted the best part of an hour with both sides capable of securing a win. My team played the majority of the map as a single squad with no commander. Surprisingly, this worked very well as it enabled us to use full comms and proved to me that the commander role isn't essential to good teamplay.

Good to see Sadako on the server as well as BB able to sustain a fairly lengthy stint. Long may that continue.

Looking forward to the next session.  :D

Yes that was a superb map and extremely even. Good fun. I found that the maps without planes and choppers tend to become more even. After you guys left a clan with about 7 players showed up that raped everything map after map using almost only air vehicles with scary precision. Killed the server (with 25 players on it) after 3-4 maps as they didn't want to even the teams, ppl started leaving. :(

Second time yesterday I played BF2 and I am considering to go out and buy a joystick ... trackball doesn't work well for flying.  <_<
