If benny can bring along a Cat 4000 with a 48 port 10/100 blade inside it we'll be sorted!  :D

We can have that baby up and configured in no time and then it would just be a case of getting everything cabled up, which I would expect to be a nightmare.

I assume the room looks like a bomb has hit it within an hour?

I would offer switches but they wouldn't do the job like Benny's offering. If there is something lying around at my work closer to the time I could possibly nick it for the weekend.

I should be able to bring along some cables of varying lengths, x-over and stright though.

Muchos power strips will also be needed.

Is there an internet connection we will be able to use? If not then we can forget about bringing a router.

well, I'll have internet access via my gprs phone so could set-up ics. but this will only be for emergencies. no service pack downloads!

yeah I got gprs too, prob is no interface from phone to pc.  damn I need a bluetooth card real bad :-)

If anyone has a bluetooth laptop bring it!  it could act as an internet gateway with my/jas phone :-)

whats your line speed with the gprs jas?  I think mine is pritty high, ISDN type speed.  Then again I suprisingly know little of GPRS.

I have a bluetooth usb dongle for my pc and will be bringing that along.

aparently my mobile is like connecting throught a 28.8k modem.

my phone is linked to my ipaq via bluetooth. also my pc via bluetooth. it's the equivalent of a fast 56k modem. (connects at around 48k)

I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.
