I'd like to see the bit where I said 'Sinap hates gays'. I was merely commenting on the general 'Oooo a gay! lolz!' (or 'Oooo gays - run away!') vibe of this thread and the attitude of many in game.

I'd forgotten that everyone (aye right) who played WoW was straight and male. All the sexism (just need to check out TS on any old raid for the occasional sad bit of 'Oooo Boobies!!!! Women!!!!!! Girls!!!!!!' banter - kinda objectionable when you have women as part of the raid) and low-key homophobia was one of me least favourite things of the game.

I was in The Companions for a while as me original char, Bawbag, until the guild folded. Lek was guild leader and whilst I won't disagree with him being an excellent player, dedicated and helpful, this all comes with one proviso - if he felt you had done him wrong in any way,  no matter how small, he'd become pretty damn rude and then ignore ya. I doubt this would really matter as he's not applying to be SoG's GM, but he bears a grudge, and when he's in a strop there's no reasoning with him.

Having said that, I never fell out with him, but like I say, I've seen him act pretty childishly due to silly grudges.

I'm currently away in the US, coming to the end of three weeks of holiday. I'm afraid that when I get back, I'll be closing my WoW account, and so there will be no more Ug.

I've been playing WoW since the beginning, and had stopped until Ug mk.1 gave me his account so I could play with Oshun, rather than fighting over the account we shared. The only times I've really been playing were the two RG2 raids per week, and to be honest, me heart hasn't been in it for ages. I've got plenty of other things to be doing which I enjoy, and WoW hasn't really been one of them for ages - raiding just forces me to sit in front of a computer getting fuzzy for 8 hours a week.

Anyways, a big old thanks to SoG for letting me join the guild with a char that I hadn't levelled to 60 - I know I didn't make a tit of meself so it's all good. I'd appreciate it if you'd wait until I got back (next week) until booting me out of the guild - I'll be sending as much as I can to the guild bank, herbs, pots, etc... All my money goes to Oshun I'm afraid, but then she is the missus. Gorion - you'll still get yr arcanite if yr interested, money goes to Osh.

What I'll probably do is have a look when I get back and post a list of stuff on here that I can give away. There's plenty up for grabs before Ug gets deleted.

Won't be able to make it tonight guys, am packing frantically this evening for a trip up north to the big pointy hills of the highlands. On top of that, my comp is in the process of bein upgraded and have a temporary gfx card until me uber one arrives...... needless to say the temp one is a big pile of steamin jobby.... so no MC for me for a while.

My guess is they aren't upgraded Aszune's server hardware as yet, but are cleaning out the hamster's cage and giving the big old wheel that they use to power the server a bit of a grease. All of this taking about 5 minutes, and giving the Blizz animal wranglers the rest of the day off to consider the comparative merits of sloths over rodents.

For those of ya who can't be bothered reading Blizz's post..... no game for 24hrs tomorrow.

Both the original Ug and me (as my original char Bawbag) were in EoA with Woody from when we first started playin a year and a bit ago - always been one of me best pals in the game, and I couldn't recommend him highly enough for SoG. Any grumpiness/bad rep he had in the past can be mostly assigned to the horrendous grind of gettin to the top rank in pvp and being one of the first to be involved in the formation of pvp farm teams. Sure, he didn't always have the most patience with pugs, but the guy was on a mission to get to rank 14, summat which doesn't exactly leave you with much desire to lose. He's also a fellow Scot - the more the merrier if ya ask me

If anyone wants a guided tour, am quite happy to try to get back up there.... Trick is to use Blizz's auto-unstuck to shunt u up a hill (mages can blink up it) - drawback is u need to destroy yr hs - tho it'd probably work if its on cooldown.

From there its a bit of a ramble over rooftops.... and as I proved earlier when I managed to get everyone lost... and stuck.... a bit tricky. It's a lot more impressive in the virtual flesh than it is in those screenies.

K, here's hopin these work...... Broke into Caverns of Time earlier, and then on the way back to show some of you guildies got loads of folk stuck (sorry ich bin ein noob)

But hopefully here should be some pretty pictures.... well worth a visit

Um, don't know what else I can add to this thread really beyond saying that I'm not planning on letting you guys down. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to prove myself - if any of you wants slightly more info about Ug leaving than his short post drop me a /w in game.
