Woo Hoo, /me is chuffed

Tried an install 'from the box' added the HL / CS updates and after 20mins of testing it was still working fine, infact the whole CS seems to work better, quicker map changes ect.. Just need to setup my binds and stuff,

I havent installed CS since V1.0, (just used the update patches) so hopefully it will be worthwhile.

Anyone good at solving PC problems?

Ive got a voice comms problem in HL and it has been driving me round the bend for ages.

The problem is my voice comms seems to work perfectly well at the beginning of a round but after 5 or so mins into the game it starts to break up and eventually stops altogether. (I can tell its not working by setting voice_loopback 1 to hear an echo of what I have just said)

To date I have tried the following, New Mic / Soundcard. (The problem has been there across 2 x mainboards so I think I have eliminated any hardware faults). I have bound different keys to the voice_comms and played around with all the voice_tweak stuff within CS. Updated drivers for all hardware.

A bit about my set-up, Win2KPRO, KT3-U2, XP2000 processor, 512DDR ram, 32mb GF2 Graphics, 21" Flat CRT monitor, Audigy2 Sound, Plantronics headset, 64K connection, and run CS in 800x600.

Any help appreciated.

Jeez theve sold out early, Ive been going for the last 3 x years and usually had no problems up until end of April..

Hey Sheepy, where did you get your tickets from mate? Ive been trying for W/E camping at the Chelmsford V but think Ive left it too late  :cry:  

I could always get W/E no camping tickets and pitch up on doormans front garden  :wink:
