Hi Benny, don't think I've forgotten about you or any of the other reprobates at DMW I will try to get "back on" in the New Year. Have a great time over the Holiday and I trust everything will go well in February.

Best wishes to you all for the Festive Season.

Speak for yourself you old fart! It still looks a long way up from here. :D

I think that's what I said, if you mean it's still a long way down, then senility is setting in as well as you don't know your Ar*e from your elbow or your ups from your downs.

There's always the possibility that they simply didn't appreciate, like most of us, the enormity of the event in the first few days. It probably takes a while to get authorisation to increase the amount....even if you are the President. Then again it might have been a cynical move once the Bush Administration realised how disgusted the world was with their efforts.

I was speaking to a neighbour who has just come back from the States and he said " I didn't realise the enormity of the disaster because the media coverage was practically non existent" all that was reported initially and for the first 24hrs was a tidal wave had occurred in Southern Asia. Makes you wonder their priorities.

I would also question the Sri Lankan Governments response to the Tamils in the Nort East of the island.
