Hello,

Well a few weeks back i said to a few admins that i would take a break of the game.
But after a month of not playing or even think about the game and seeing what is in store for me for the comming months, work and game related.
I am sort of save to say that there is a small change that i will give this game another go.

So it wouldn't be fair in my eyes to stay gameleader for a game that i won't play for a long while.


I want to thank all involved for the time i played the game for a lot of fun, but now it time for me to step down and move on.

Sith send a pm to me, for when i am avail for a chat, i said to him if you guys have everything worked out etc. and know what is best for the whole club then go for it and don't wait for me.

When i see all the posts on the forum from the last few days we have to ask ourselves etc. if we are going with a second server or replace the current one.

I would go for a second server open to the community and if it shows that the current aint used anymore etc. make a decission later on to take that one down.

Question is easy:

What day do you guys find best to do a big event?

Well here we go:

Did a fly around the map today, the map is big with multiple layers. for example a mountain can also have an inside with more then 1 level.
Map looks awesome and there is more then enough room for a lot of people.

Main problem for now is the real lack of stone and metal. You will have more then enough wood but stone and metal are sort of rare.

What i also found and that just popped up in my head is that the map has a lot of very similar area's with herbivore's etc.
Which is ok but that is something i noticed. Havn't seen all of the island as there is also a lot of places well hidden and many layers of levels.

The map has his own version of the flying Dalaran (WoW players will know that) which is freaking awesome! and has my name on it for a building place.
But also is for now the best place found to get metal etc.





Prim mod:

Mod got active today and had a run with it.

Mod isn't complete is missing stuff and a lot of stuff you can't even make because of the missing parts. Also again a lot of high non primitive stuff is avail to be learned, although sometimes blocked because of your level.
Or stuff you are able to make but then not aloud to place anywhere.

Also what i noticed is the mats needed for some stuff are somewhat insane inc very much time consuming.
Example: Wooden foundation - 40/60 wood 40 thatch and 15 fibers (out of my head)
Prim mod version of a wooden foundation - 95 wooden planks  40 thatch and 15 fibers.

Now you need a lumber station to get those planks. 1 wood is 2 planks. But to get your 95 planks you need 5 stations or wait 5 mins to just to be able to craft 1 foundation afterwards.

Played a bit with the mod, but there is something wrong with it, at lvl 10 i am able to learn an industrial forge and the riot helmet (you need to be lvl 40 to finally get it, but still that should not be in there or should it?)

At the moment we got 8 to 10 players playing this game on our server.

People are getting bored for several reasons, some are valid other reasons are not.

Things are being put on my shoulders to fix some problems that i just can't fix.


People own minds, i can't help with that, i aint the best social member and not the easiest to talk to, am someone that makes his choices very quick and most of the time keeps with them.



People want something more challenging to do in game, while there is some stuff to do (not much). I don't see some of them going for something like that. they just stay away or let others do it.
If something is asked for and it takes some people to long for something to happen while they don't have a clue on what is going on, they are going mental... but instead of stepping in, leave it to others.


Server stuff:
Current server, has 8/10 people playing.
Current setting: 0 (lvl 30 dino's)

What am i waiting for, as should all the players, is the end fight with the spider boss. This is said many times before but somehow people havn't noticed or they just read/hear what they want.
Also since last admin chat on ts (4 admins present) was decided to tame 1 Giga with the tribe just before or after the boss fight, to be done with that dossier and keep some peace in some minds about their area of operations.


Those things where planned, and then postponed as more and more people couldn't make it on those days, so yeah it is going to take another few weeks.


After the fight:
When the 2 main events are completed for at least the majority of the tribe i will ask the server admins to change the server setting to max (lvl 120 dino's)

This doesn't really do much as people will adjust quick enough to some higher lvl stuff but alpha's are going to be a big thing if we don't adjust their settings.



Test server:
Currently has an old save running, with a primitive mod on it. This has been asked for, but i havn't really seen any admin testing it. Myself got to level 10 and was needed at the normal server again and havn't been back since. (was 2/3 weeks ago)

Although the idea is good etc. I don't see it working.
As it means we have to make a second server, which is running a mod or two and most likely a different map. This will kill the game for dMw.
As people will split up and get faster bored as there is no one to play/help etc. As a few of our players won't leave what they have done on our current server.

Also we can't force the whole tribe to start over from scratch as people invested to much time in what they have done now etc.
I know there are a few that don't mind starting from lvl 1 again, but even for myself some will rethink that as soon as they done it.



Making the server open for other people to play on:
I don't really like that idea, with the next few things popping up in my head:

We play on a pvp server, which means other people can just raid and loot etc.
Getting them all in the tribe is almost undoable and will still lead to raiding and looting other players their stuff. (counts also for a pve server)
Admins can't govern the server anymore as there is to much going on without us being able to find out or to react etc.

If you ever start to play the pvp side of the game then i will hope to meet you on the battlefield.

Thanks to all that joined for this fun cave run, i think we did fine even with the few deaths some of us had.

After the Lan we will have a chat about when to do this fight, as to many people are not able to make it.

Fight it self:

Everyone brings in one dino to do the fight with, with maybe if they want to, one spare, that stays at the staging area untill it is needed.



I am bringing 2 T-Rex's, one will be used by myself the other by someone else who also knows how to use a T-Rex. (both at or above lvl 90)
2 cannonfodder turtle's who will be a sort of tank and will do what they like.

But all still has to be decided as they might even change the fight etc...  you never know.

Well a few people asked about my base that also don't play the game so i made a quick video with a tour around my main base.

If you play Ark and you are pretty new to the game then this is a little warning you might faint if you see how much work has been put in there to create what is standing there in no mans land on the ark island.

Have a watch on what i have done within the game so far as my building is never complete.

I restocked the staging area at carno island.  So there is stuff to repair armor and weapons and some spare armor, water jars etc.  
Turrets are placed on the roof and only need to be turned on when you get there for defense of the birds.

The fridge has no food at the moment so you will need to bring that your self.

Broodmother Lysrix will be summoned on May 1st.

So all prepare for the end fight with the whole Tribe and collect that achievement and that awesome feeling of downing the main boss after a lot of prep work to be even able to summon and doing the fight.

Fight will be done at the RED Tower! For those that didn't know yet or havn't seen it, there is a staging area already in place just for this one fight.

Grouping up at the staging area will start at 19:00 UK time.
Boss will be summoned around 20:00 UK time.
