Cool.  Thanks for clearing that up.  :thumb:

Gibbo - using dMw tags on the XBOX are a no-no.

Quote from: Whitey;306337Penfold already said it was OK as he has a green badge from another game.
My post was to try and clarify why it is OK...(obviously not clearly enough):flirty:

I get that.  The bit about using a dMw. tag whilst gaming on non-dMw servers (which an XBOX/PS3 is) is the only thing that's ambiguous here.  Apologies if my question wasn't clear enough the first time around.

Quoteif you have a badge from any game then you are entitled to use the .dMw  tag after your name on dMw run servers.
That part of your post prompted my question. :flirty:

So, what is the community stance on using a dMw-esque tag if you're playing a game (be it supported or not) on a console?  Or don't we have one yet?

:)

So what about calling himself dMw.Gibbo when he plays BFBC2 on his XBOX?

Which, unless I am mistaken, is what he was asking in the first place.

Quote from: T-Bag;304216Didn't know the UAV had a machine gun.

Quote from: '[BIGmagnus;304246']The pc beta does not have it.  It will be an unlock  in the full game  though.

So the PC Beta doesn't have the 'V ALT W' perk as an unlock?

The PS3 Demo version does, and you get it after scoring a certain number  of points in vehicles.  Equipping the perk at the spawn screen gives  you the secondary weapons for the heavy vehicles (including the machine gun  for the UAV).

Wot he said.  I've had one for the last three years (a Slim Devices branded unit, before Logitech took them over).  It's currently streaming music to my amp from an Ubuntu box, but it worked equally well with the server software running on an XP based PC.

A lot of money for what it is?  Debatable.  You're paying for the quality of the DACs - and in that regard, it's a good bit of kit.

I agree with both TL and Kreg.  My own personal preference is for Plasma over LCD.  Pioneer always used to be considered the best you buy in plasma-land.  However, they exited the market earlier this year and that mantle has now been taken up by Panasonic.

I've recently bought a Panasonic TX-P42V10B (same model as Kreg's, only smaller) and have been completely satisfied with the picture it puts out.

The same physical NeoPDP panels are shared amongst the G, V, and (I believe) the top-end Z series.  Only the image processing electronics, and the enclosures, vary the further up the range you go.

If plasma is the technology you decide upon, I doubt you'll be disappointed with that Panny set.

Quote from: Tutonic;293471Arkham Asylum and Killzone 2 are both worth a look, and I hear good things about Uncharted 2 but I've not played it yet.

I have all three of those and they were well worth the money. :)

It's a game ...but it ain't got its own topic! / Batman

Aye.  I played through this on my PS3 and finished it last week.

I don't usually buy superhero tie-ins as they're invariably poor games.  However, a colleague ranted and raved about this enough for me to check out a few reviews, and then splurge some cash on it.  I'm glad I did!

The graphics, voice acting, and music are incredibly polished, but it's the gameplay itself that shines - just the right mix of combat and puzzles.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.  9/10 :thumbsup2:

Seriously though ... / Carlisle

My "Outlaws" live in Brampton which isn't too far away from Carlisle.

Carlisle Airport serves private aircraft and freight only.  There are no scheduled services as far as they're aware.

Your best bets would be:

1) Flying in to Newcastle and driving over via the A69.
2) Train
3) Drive up, stay overnight, then take a day off and come back via the Lake District, picking some tat up for the wife and kids on the way.

HTH :)

Nice. :thumb:

I'm currently in the process of putting an Ubuntu box together at home for some media serving duties.  It'd be rude not to have it sat there folding as well.

Quote from: Doorman;270168I'm surprised a YouTube clip like this hasn't hit the mainstream media. A plot maybe? :g:

It has now.
Although given the Beeb now pander to NuLabour (ever since they got spanked over the Kelly affair), I can understand why they didn't broadcast it firsthand.

Hey Swiss.  Welcome back.

I'm in pretty much the same boat as you.  In that my gaming is conducted on my PS3 at the mo (PC as old as the hills, and nowhere to put it currently).

I've added you to the PS3 Handle thread.
