Quote from: Gnomie;288178I was just about to start a thread about this, but then I saw this. :D I had a lot of fun today cruising around the Ring with the AI. Very very good feeling! Weight transfer feels incredible.

Nails niels it yet again! :D
Ya me too....I came here to scoop you all on the Supra  . I tried with some friends last night and I must say it is awesome!! :dribble:
Very fun to drive and it has limited setup options.

rFactor / OUT OF DATE TOPIC Tracks you'll need

Quote from: obsolum;277873Cool, I didn't know you were a (fomer) real life racer!

I wish!
No we are talking pixelated cars on pixelated tracks here :lmfao:

I think it was the Toca Race Driver 1, 2 and 3 that I first tried most of the Ausie Tracks with the V8 supercars. Then later with Rfactor and the Excellent V8 Factor mod. Give it a shot, the sounds and car model are
quite good.

I would suggest this order of installation for those who are "fiddle" handicapped :roflmao:

1. http://www.dcarrsmith.com/rfactor/mods/V8Factor_2006_v1.exe

2. http://www.v8gaming.com/files/V8F_HiResUpdate.zip

3. http://www.austraracing.com/shared/Shauns%20Stuff/V8F_2006_Patch_v1.1.exe

4. http://rapidshare.com/files/68734402/V8F_FullHiResSkinUpdateForPatch1-1.zip

5. http://stats.austeamracing.com/Downloads/V8F_2006_Patch_v1.1_to_v1.2.rar

The modern day Bathurst (Mount Panorama curcuit) is included with this mod.
Enjoy!!

Nice...it brought back my V8 Supercars racing days!! I just love the Ausie
Tracks that they run so I went on a mission to find them all.
Some other must haves for your collection are Phillip Island and Wanneroo.

Quote from: Jamin;277341Not a track for the server as it's a long one (unless you fancy a road race) but this: http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=UKRally is nice for a blast in the english countryside in test drive, very realistic and well made, reminds me of some of the roads in the lake district.

That is such a nice find! thank you very much.

Just had a go in the 5 speed Abarth 4:22..and the quest is on to PB hell.

rFactor / Inconsequential stuff
May 22, 2009, 08:41:13 AM
Quote from: Doorman;276938This is REALLY inconsequential. I have spent the best part of the day taking every car in HistoriX and hammering them down the Mulsanne straight! I noted the top speed of them all at the point just before the right hand kink prior to the end.

It IS sad, I confess. That's retirement for you. :D

I was surprised by some of the results, especially at the slowest end.

If you're interested I've attached the list and may God have mercy upon you soul.

8 more years Ron and I'll join you on that retirement thing....must be wonderful :ranting2:

That little Abarth is just crazy... :roflmao:

ps. I noticed it's really nice to have the ability op just some pick up races instead of the scheduled netKar Pro events :|

Hey ya...how did that set work for you? :D
