Would like to join DMR for social/raiding fun

I joined for a while last year, but the raid times didnt fit with my non-wow life so went back to my old guild.  I would also like to bring my rogue this time as well if its possible. Pala's name is Hundin, Rogue is Slyelf.

I have filled in a few times with some of your raids on hundin, and they were lots of fun.

Who are you? Where are you from? How old are you? What kind of work do you do? What's your situation at home like?
My name is Spencer, live in Brighton UK, I am 23, Currently a student at Sussex Uni, live with my girlfriend and our daughter who is 9 months old.


on my laptop at the moment :crying: 1.73GHz 2MB RAM
planning to sort out a desktop by (at least) the end of summer.


have been playing WoW for about three years, love it, before that I was a bit of a nintendo man and still have my SNES, ah happy days.

What kind of raiding experience do you have?
naxx 10/ 25, OS 10/25, VoA 10/25, have tanked and healed on all apart from naxx 25 (which I still need to complete) where i have been healing only.

What other guilds have you been in and why did you decide or were forced to move on?
Currently at Elunes Elites, I get on really well with the guild but I am at a point where i want to get some heroic raids under my belt and pugs are generally useless

Do you actively play any alts that we could find you in in case we need to contact you?
I also play: Slyelf (73 rogue), Gathers (63 hunter) and Aslanea (39 druid)
but I'm on Hundin 90% of the time.

What are your plans for the game? In what way would you like others to know you? Tell us about your personality, and why you enjoy the game.

My plans for the game? continue to have fun mainly. I'd like others to (and hope they do!) know me as a friendly and helpful player.... whos not adverse to the odd giggle or two. I enjoy all aspects of the game really... hmm, a bit broad maybe... initially the theme of the game was the appeal( I love Lord Of The Rings(books/films, not game)).  Now i like the social side and enjoy progressing characters.

Name one thing you don't like about WoW in its current state.

pug raid groups, the other day I joined a raid for VoA 10 and we didnt even try new boss, "oh, i thought you knew we were only doing 1". That was fun:doh:

Why did you decide to play this class?
Originally chose a paladin because tis a bit of an all rounder and wore plate.

What do you think your class' role is in raid content?
healing, rezzing(if needed) and buffs
 
Comment on your build. Why did you choose it? What do you think of other builds of your class? Why didn't you choose one of those? (important question)
I have been tanking for a long time (from the beginning of TBC) and a few months ago got bored of it a bit so switched to healing which i am really enjoying.

I have tank as my secondary spec and am happy to switch if needed. Ret is fun (in BGs especially) but i heal those now so i have no need for ret spec.

What do you look for in a guild?
A raiding guild is my number 1 priority at the moment, but also the guild needs to be friendly and fun to have chats with.

''Dead Men Raiding'' - What comes to mind when you see that guild name?
a skull banner and people fleeing.

There are other guilds on the server, why did you apply to us?
you come highly recommended.

Who do you know in Dead Men Raiding? How do you know them?
I know Bellanie from elunes elites and Fatdog (although i didnt realise he was in this guild until i saw his name on the forum posts)

Have you read our 'what we look for' and 'philosophy' posts? What do you think of them?
They sound perfect for me, especially the later raiding, what with the nipper and all, my girlfriend works most nights at a local pub so evening raids are when i raid usually.
