Hi Folks,
Please find my answers below for a Hunter application to DMR -
You
Who are you?
Chris
Where are you from?
Devon originally (and no, i dont like sheep in that way) now living in Cumbria
How old are you?
36 (but dont tell anyone
)
What kind of work do you do?
I'm a Wildlife Ranger, primarily trying to safeguard our last remaining Red Squirrels (amongst other things)
What's your situation at home like?
All good, live with the other half who makes a mean lemon cheesecake
What kind of internet connection do you have?
Broadband
What are the core specs of your computer?
XPS 720 Core 2 Processor E6700 (2.66Ghz, 1066FSB, 5MB cache). Memory 3072MB (3x1024) 667MHz DDR2. Hard Drive 500GB 7200RPM Dual HDD Config. Dual 256MB nVidia 8600GTS graphic cards.
How long have you been playing computer games and what kind?
Have played computer games since the ZX Spectrum and Commodore days (god i feel old!) through the nes/super nes & Sega days up to the PS3 today. As i have got older i dont get much time to play but still like a blast every now and again. I mostly only play WoW now.
What kind of raiding experience do you have?
I have raided pretty much since 2004, having done all vanilla end game dungeons. I did most of the end game dungeons in TBC also, and have been to Ulduar on several occasions, but i am in no way as up to speed with LK end games as i was in the past (have also raided most of the above with Mage, Rogue and Hunter).
What other guilds have you been in and why did you decide or were forced to move on?
The Companions was my first ever guild (rl friends etc) and was purely a social guild. I then moved a couple of toons in to Chronicles of Chaos doing most of the vanilla end games. It then disbanded, with some reforming as Prometheus which i aslo joined continuing vanilla end game. Come pre-tbc it also went through that guild split that seemed universal and Prometheus then disbanded (*sigh*). A friend then invited me to Shai'Hulud where i did a lot of the TBC end game, who then...guess what...split to reform (*heavier sigh*). The outcome was Tabula Rasa, intially intended as a social raid when possible guild, but soon got far to serious, hence...they disbanded. A very good friend in TR then invited me to a Disparity where i have done some end game content in LK. Disparity has decided to no longer raid (due to many of the peeps, being rl friends, can not commit) so are now just a social/pvp guild.
Do you actively play any alts that we could find you in in case we need to contact you?
Yep, they are as follows - Asland (warrior) / PÃÂp (rogue) / Pippit (Lock). The others are gathering dust and are very rarely played, but if needed Bellanie (aka Tally) can find me on them.
If you are a cross-server applicant, name someone from your home server that can vouch for you.

What are your plans for the game?
To hopefully continue enjoying the game and social side with a good crowd who enjoy playing the game and pushing new boundaries in terms of content.
In what way would you like others to know you?
As a reliable person who will always watch your back in both dungeons and pvp as well as always being there to help when needed.
Tell us about your personality, and why you enjoy the game.
A friendly, happy go lucky, never really grown up person who aspires to 'The Dude' from the film 'The Big Lebowski'. Best thing about the game is meeting interesting people from around the globe, and kicking some arse with them
Name one thing you don't like about WoW in its current state.
Hmmm, maybe that i had more time to enjoy its ever growing content, and that mounts cost FAR to much!

Why did you decide to play this class?
Have always enjoyed the ethos of Hunter and the game play
What do you think your class' role is in raid content?
To deeeeeeeeeeeepeeeeeeeeeesssssss as much as humanly (or dwarfly) possible, to watch aggro, and to keep an eye on healers so that they have no unwanted attention.
Comment on your build. Why did you choose it?
Having lost contact with WoW pre-LK, i have looked at some players of old that i respect as hunters (and spoken with them) to get current build, but am still very much experimenting.
What do you think of other builds of your class?
They certainly have their purpose, depending on PVP/Raiding etc and i am still very much open to feedback and ideas to improve. I will more than likely buy the dual spec soon enough so there is that flexibility too.
Why didn't you choose one of those? (important question)
Tbh its mainly because i am still playing around with builds.
This guild
What do you look for in a guild?
Friendlyness, treating everyone as equals and one that is wanting to always push themselves to the next level, enjoying the journey on the way.
''Dead Men Raiding'' - What comes to mind when you see that guild name?
Ummmm, the scene from LOTR when Aragorn goes to get that ghost army to help kick Mordors arse.
There are other guilds on the server, why did you apply to us?
I have known Bellanie (Tally) since he started playing, and have become quite good friends with him. He seems very happy within DMR, so i thought i'd apply to you guys also
Who do you know in Dead Men Raiding? How do you know them?
Just Bellanie i think, i have no doubt bumped in to some of you before (as he tells me some of you are old SOG) but Bellanie is the only one i can safely say i know.
Have you read our 'what we look for' and 'philosophy' posts? What do you think of them?
Yes, and tbh i think it seems very level headed and a mature approach to the game. Very apparent that it has evolved from a long experience with the game and the many aspects that go with it.
Annoying questions
A guildie says something you find offensive, what do you do?
More than likely ignore it, very hard to offend me and would probably be water off a ducks back. If it was directed to me, then i would question them why and try to find out if it was something i may have done - with the endeavour to resolve the issue.
Cake or Pie?
CAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!!! :yahoo:
