Hi guys

I would like to thank everyone who made me feel very welcome in the guild, but unfortunately i am going to have to leave (no big loss lol), however i thought i would give you a reason why.

Firstly my work has made it clear to me that i must work on a tuesday night which is annoyingly one of your main raiding nights, so i will never be on then anyway.

Secondly my missus is increasing pressure on me to spend less time on this 'infernal game' and it is causing a bit of stress at home.

Thirdly a close friend in RL is really trying to establish his own 10 man guild (more casual) and he has been pestering me to help out, up until now i wanted a little more however with these developments this seems to best suit my situation now.

I dont tend to do anything half heartedly and i feel it is not fair on yourselves to not be honest and pretend i can come to the odd raid here and there, i am just not that kind of person.

Can i just say in the short time i have been here i can honestly say that your guild is a real credit to the realm and this shows up very well to the officers and GM, also thanks for everyone being so helpful and easy to get on with.

Long time listener, first time caller

From a Newbies point of view i can totally see why the guild is focused on killing the LK in 25 man and i would be more than happy to try and help achieve this, but i do see were Luna is coming from. I am not by any means a follower of the dreaded 'GS' however i do appreciate that there is still quite a bit of better gear out there for me in ICC 25. Please dont think i am trying to write this for personal gain, the point i was trying to make is that if there are other Newbies to the guild such as me, then if we were to grow as a team and get stronger with tacts and drops it may be beneficial in the long run.

Just a thought.

My name is Steve and i play an arcane mage on aszune called Eninodrib

Excellent, i live at home with my Wife to be and our 7 year old son

What kind of internet connection do you have?

Broadband 8meg connection (steady 5 meg where i live)

What are the core specs of your computer?

Dual 3.1 Intel Pentium Pro with 4 gig ram and 128 meg Gic

How long have you been playing computer Games and what kind?

Phew good question, i have had them all from an atari 2600 to this pc, i like role playing games and sport and action and errr just about anything really, if it helps some of my favourite games through the ages have been:

Monkey Island (commodore amiga)
Kick off 2 (commodore amiga)
Mario Kart (Snes)
Warcraft orcs and humans (pc)
Call of duty (xbox 360)

so a wide range there really to be honest.


What kind of raiding experience do you have?

I have done all of Naxx and Toc 10, 6 bosses in ulduar and 7 bosses in Icc (although i have encountered more than 7)

What other guilds have you been in and why did you decide or were forced to move on?

I was in a guild called Lemmings of the Light and i really loved it there however they offered no 25 man content and forbade you from pugging 25 man if it went past their 10 man progression so with a heavy heart i moved to do some more 25 man content.

Unfortunately at the time i could not raid a Wednesday night and the guild i moved to (just because we can) changed to that night a week after i joined

Do you actively play any alts that we could find you in in case we need to contact you?

Yes, I have a holy/ret Pally called Crazycakes and a hunter called Remmir, i do have other chars but i would not really call them active.

What are your plans for the game?

I would really like to see the Lich King dead in both 10 and 25 man mode but my main aim in the game is to enjoy myself and also help others enjoy their experience wherever possible.

In what way would you like others to know you?

I would like them to know me as Enin the guy who they can depend on when they need help.

Tell us about your personality, and why you enjoy the game.

I am an easy going fun loving guy who can also be very focused when needs to be, i enjoy the game because there is so much to do and there is always something to strive for, also i have made a lot of friends on the game that i would not have done so otherwise.

Name one thing you don't like about WoW in its current state.

I am not a tremendous fan of the dungeon finder system, although i appreciate it is easier to get into groups this way if you meet some over offensive people and have to leave you are penalised with a 30 minute lockout. Also you rarely see people on the same server trying to get groups together because of this system.

Why did you decide to play this class?

This was my first character on the game and still the one i enjoy most, i chose it because i liked the idea of power coming from the mind

What do you think your class' role is in raid content?

As a mage i am primarily dps however it is very important that i can cc when needs must. Also you must be ready to adapt to new situations (cant just stand there attacking Saurfang after you have killed your beast if all the ranged on the other side are down)

Comment on your build. Why did you choose it?

I had researched my build a lot and i found this one to be a very common build, i tend to use elitist jerks quite a bit and this proved to be the strongest arcane build.

What do you think of other builds of your class?

I know that fire is a very good build at the moment and it is something i intend on investigating further as i have read in a few places that fire is a better build for the Lich King fight (and dps in general is very close now). To my knowledge Frost is mainly used in pvp and that is something i have not done a lot of.
 

Why didn't you choose one of those? (important question)

I used to be a fire mage however the hit cap was considerably higher and it was extremely crit intensive as well, the drop in hit to arcane meant it was easier to get increased dps by not constantly worrying about going under hit cap when you got a new piece of gear.

What do you look for in a guild?

All i am looking for is a friendly bunch of people who i can enjoy the game with and do some 25 man raiding, i understand you need good gear to raid but i am so sick of everyone asking for inflated gearscore and not actually giving people a chance to show their actual gaming ability. I am just looking for somewhere to call home

''Dead Men Raiding'' - What comes to mind when you see that guild name?

A bunch of skeletal figures marching into ICC, seriously though it is a very cool guild name and you obviously set the tone of raiding just from the name itself.

There are other guilds on the server, why did you apply to us?

I have read your Philosophy and what we look for threads and it seems perfect for what i am looking for in a guild.

Excellent, i like the fact that you state you understand people have real lives and that you look for a mature Environment as well as also saying that people can have input if they have any ideas that may help a situation.


Annoying questions

A guildie says something you find offensive, what do you do?

In all honesty i am not easily offended, however if something really bad did occur i would alert the GM or a high ranking officer (i am sure the guild would not want situations like this occuring)
