Racing Sims / So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish....

I'm very sorry to hear this Lameduck, best wishes for the future.

We had countless laps and hours of fun with you on the race track. I'll be missing all the fast, fair and funny races and times with you. Take care!

Congratulations for yet another victory Ed!

I qualified 4th by improving PB with over a second. Car felt very good in qualification and few test races before that, so I felt quite comfortable, when the big race was about to begin.

The fuel economy of the BF1 is very poor, so I started with full tank. That was a mistake, because my setup didn't work at all with full tank. The car was horrible to drive.

At the race start, I managed to keep the 4th position, but Rasta was closing in fast. I felt really uncomfortable with the car and as a result I hit the wall after after the first split just after a few laps. When I went to repair the damages, I accidently filled up the fuel tank again, which resulted in poorly balanced, which was not pleasure to drive... The rest of the race wasn't much better. Three stops strategy didn't pay off, especially when I had to repair car on each one of them

On positive side, I got better by the end of the race. Usually it's the other way around :)

But always very nice to race with you guys :racing:. Be well :thumb:

Quote from: Lameduck;346335I got a good start which lasted the whole 100 meters to turn 1, when cabbie/crasher Mauni and I had a slight coming together for which he has graciously apologised. :blink:I was spat out into the wall, whilst he disappeared with the rest of the field, with nary a twitch. However he should withdraw the apology as it was mea culpa, as the cold front end slipped me into his path and there was nowt he could do about it.

Sorry for the late reply. I foolishly bookmarked the future of dMr thread and forgot to check the others :).
I can agree with 50/50 racing incident, but refuse to withdraw my apology

The race was a okay for me. Good racing with Sean. I should really practise my pit stops as I lose seconds by not hitting the pit box at first attempt

Hi everyone!

Little off topic first...
I came here to see if there's a thread for last nights FZR@BL1R combo... I didn't found one, so I put my apologies in this thread instead. I was looking at the replay and saw that at the race start in T1 I cut into Lameduck's path sending him to a spin and last position :(. In the heat of the race I didn't notice the contact at all. I'm very sorry about that Lameduck.

On topic:
Reading Jamin's opening post, I got worried that you'll ditch the event altogether. Thursday's one hour race is always something to look forward to (Even if I seem to lack consistency novadays, when I don't race so much.). It's nice to see that you have backup admins now when Jamin is busy. I'll promote thursdays' events on cabbie forum too to get some more people join.

I like Sean's idea where popular combos could be on for several weeks.
