Battlefield 3 / Server "Policy"
November 24, 2011, 10:59:20 PM
Hey guys,

so let me explain myself. I wondered about the "server policy" here. For example was there any Community Site poll about the healing modification on the server? Or are server modifications just be "decided" and not "discussed" here?
Another thing, when there are just 12 players on server, why don't you guys change the map to some smaller and rush mode. Why you guys wanted to play big conquest on Caspian border with just 12 ppl? It wasn't fun, it wasn't war, it was just running from one flag to another...

I didn't take a look on the game files, but there should be some possibilities of scripting. You should add a Auto-Map-Vote cmd on ending map. It is not that hard.
Let server check game status (get_tickets_count, if ticket_counts < than 30 cmd = auto_map_vote (mode, map) (mode, map)) or something like that. Also let server check current player numbers...

You could also add a killing streak mode which is not that hard, too.

My main thing is just, the server is just 1 of 10000 out there. There is nothing special on it. The only good thing I noticed is that there some admins online who kicks at least the "jumping" guys athough they are not that annoying to me.

Another thing, DickDastardly is the only admin I noticed who seems to care about the server. He is posting admin msg, warning players. Almost every other dMw is just "playing" and not "caring". They didn't even react on my question to change the map.

Seriuosly, the BF3 part of your community has potential, it could grow to a big community with a big group of "core players" who are playing on the serv and discussing on the forum. You should think about giving non-dMw ppl admin rights when they donate for the serv for example. Don't make it a rule that you only can become admin by joining the dMw clan / community mix.

As you know I was the headadmin of a really free gaming community and it was the best "virtual life" time I had until now. I was searching for years for a new community and I would really like to see that this community could be my new "virtual home" :P ....

I am eager to see how you guys think about my words...

Hey guys,

yesterday I played on your public BF3 Server, was kinda fun so I also joined today and .DickDastardly. asked me to check out your forum. So here I am... seems to be a nice forum with hopefully many many noobs I can shoot :) .

What to say 'bout me...

I am studying, I like to enjoy my life, I am smoking way to much espacially in-game, I am working for a solar company and of course I like gaming.

I haven't been in a clan for years but it was always fun gaming with some cool guys. My last "clan" was a gaming community called obositii.org (CS, COD, Crysis with over 560 active members) where I was the head admin but I  had to shut it down cause school was more important and nobody wanted to pay me enough money to sell my servers (good old days with public server files modding tools etc., I miss it so much).

I hope we gonna have some nice time and I hope you accept a German guy in your community :)
