Hey chaps!

Found out I actually had a Minecraft account a way back when I purchased it during it's alpha/beta stages, and I've decided to play it full. I was wondering if I could tag along onto this server?

Yeah, GG indeed. I liked the twist we added to the Operation Locker, obliteration map by just doing long-ranged snipers only, made it much more interesting!

He's probably banned from watching Jeremy Kyle as well, due to all the hugely gorgeous women that argue with each other on that show.

Putting it perspective, how long have we played BF3 for? I'm ASSUMING we should play as much BF4, which would be a good 2 years or maybe a year and a half. And for a multiplayer game that's 40-59 pounds (incl/excl premium), which will last you that long, that's not too bad.

The kid kind of looks like a young Bear Grylls.
I will look like a right ponce flailing that toy gun around in my tiny living room.

Battlefield 4 / Battlefield 4 BETA Reactions Post here

Quote from: smilodon;376244The problem is that for many people the game is good enough for EA to be forgiven it's many sins. If players just stopped playing BF altogether, some quick market research would show EA what they need to do and we'd have the game we want at a price that's fair. But as long as BF is a compelling and fun to play multiplayer then players will obviously play it in spite of its shortcomings. EA probably aren't as dumb any they sometimes appear.

It is a shame that BF/Cod weren't made by Valve, Take Two or Bohemia. Then I think we'd have some really outstanding FPS games to join CS:GO

It's a shame. In an ideal world, if fps gamers could band together and "boycott" it (i.e. stop buying/playing it), then maybe EA(DICE) will have a rethink and much even greater effort to make a decent successor to BF3. I like the guns, I love the sound. But as everyone has said, it's the same old - same old.

Quote from: ArithonUK;376236Get BF4 BETA specific NVIDIA Drivers here

They say the new driver “ensures maximum performance and stability” with the game and say they're "an essential update for all GeForce GTX users jumping into the Battlefield 4 beta!".

So get 'em while they're hot!

Woops, was JUST about to post the link for driver downloads! Got in there before me!

Anyway, back to the game. Enjoying what it offers so far. If you think the graphics seem hazy, turn up the resolution bar on the left of the graphics options - be aware that this really takes a bite out of your performance.
The thing that shines out the most from what I've played is the sounds. Especially the deep rumble of explosions in the distance (or underneath you) when you are in some of buildings, it really makes it an occasion.

Only played 15mins or so, will report more later.

It's a game ...but it ain't got its own topic! / Thief (4)
September 28, 2013, 01:31:43 PM
I am a very big fan of the Thief franchise, however I was kind of disturbed by the gameplay demos (video and articles) - a lot of things seem to be limited. For instance, you can't even freely jump anymore - why the devs decided on this? We'll never know. Also, the video demos don't look all that amazing, and somehow seems to lack the charm that the last Thie(ves) brought to the table. However, this is just based on all the demos I've seen and read, hopefully it will be decent.

Also, regarding about who throw their arms in the air about banning violent video games so kids don't touch them etc. etc., I find quite a cool comment on a BBC article.

I completely agree with this statement.

Quote from: JanuZ;375639I have bought it and created an Archer on the server Phoenix. Haven't done anything in game yet other then go through cut scenes and movement and picking up quests tutorials. Will play later tonight.

Let us know how it feels, interested in picking it up myself!

Battlefield 4 / BF4 recommended system specs

Quote from: faust82;375381Still, they are what I'd consider a minimum for BF3 as well :p

Yep. But, after all, it is just a recycled BF3 engine.
The recycling machine in question is fueled by ignorance.
