Shoot, I completely forgot about Star Citizen! Is it nearing release?

I'm sure the LAN is going to be a blast, but I'm unfortunately not able to join this time around. I wish you all a great time though!

Have you made your leave from WoW a permanent one or are there plans regarding a return in Legion?

This could be interesting. :o

Checked the forums for the first time in a looong time on a whim. I was actually thinking about getting back into raiding, how many from the MoP crew I knew are still going?

I can play anything, depends what is needed.

Yeah it's a bit easier to do this over TS. I'll try to come on at some point, but as Switch points out, it probably isn't a rush to get ready for WoD with the current expected release date.

Hey everyone!

It's been a little while since I posted on here last, but I'm doing so now because I'm looking towards Warlords of Draenor and raiding in the new expansion. This means that I'd like to get started with some raids or the likes at some point before it comes out, to get into the swing of things and, you know, to be sure that I have a team to raid with. Therefore, my question is: What are our plans for raiding? Will we start again and if so, when and who? I'm thinking both Siege of Orgrimmar and Warlords of Draenor raids. I know Siege of Orgrimmar isn't the most exciting place to go to, but I think it'd be a good idea to get some raiding going if and when we need to start looking at recruits for the upcoming expansion.

So basically, I'm willing to get some raiding going again - if we are enough that are interested?

Looks like an interesting game, but it looks like you're sort of controlling a civilization. In the game that I'm thinking about you're only trying to train this one monster.

Thanks for the help though :)

It's actually not similar to spore at all and also much older. I've probably not done a very good job of explaining it, but my memories of it are very vague. :)

It's more akin to pokemon in that you "control" the guy who owns the creature and then you choose how to feed it and how to deal with stuff like illness and injuries - all this while training it to become a better "fighting-animal".

One very important point I should probably make is that you never actually move around in the game, it's handled entirely by menues. Of course there's still a visual part to the game, but you don't control it.

Hey everyone! :)

I've run into a problem, I remember that I used to play a game about breeding monsters and keeping them alive, while training them to be able to battle each other. I think I played this game on the Playstation 1 and it was around 8 or so years ago. I've been looking for some time, but I haven't been able to find the game I'm looking for. I specifically remember that your could die from sources outside battle and that the game didn't have a "walk around" mechanic, it was mostly just menues and videos from this farm-like place.

I hope you can help me, since I remember the game being a lot of fun and I'd love to see if it's still available!

Cheers, Ziley! :)

P.S. Here are some quick info about games I'm pretty sure that it is NOT:

101 Shark Pets
Azure Dreams
Digimon World
Dog's Life
Dragon Quest V
Dragon Quest Monsters
EyePet
Eternal Eyes
Final Fantasy VII (chocobo-raising minigame)
Final Fantasy XIII-2
Jade Cocoon
Kupu~!! Mamegoma!
Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals
Megami Tensei
Monster Rancher
Ni no Kuni
Nintendogs
Pikmin
Pokémon
Purr Pals
Robotrek
Seaman
SimAnimals
Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 (Chao-raising minigame)

Quote from: Sneakytiger;380643What's best dota2 or lol?

That's dangerous ground to thread! :P

But it obviously comes to personal preference. Personally, I couldn't get into DOTA 2 when I played it. The controls felt sluggish and the graphics made everything fairly unclear in terms of what you had to kill and who was on whose team.
The client is better in DOTA 2 though, as most of the out-of-game stuff is in that game.
However, the gameplay in LoL just feels smoother and more polished, and while the items are more simplistics I feel they make more sense as well. Especially the way that spells work in DOTA 2, where they don't scale with anything feels extremely weird to me. In lol you get Ability Power, which directly increases the damage on your spells and attack damage which increases the damage that your basic attacks (and some spells) deal.

All in all, I much prefer LoL and I actually don't think that DOTA 2 is the second best, I'd put Smite above DOTA. Smite is also fairly easy to get into if you're not used to the MOBA-genre, but it doesn't leave as much room for complexity (at least that's how I feel as a newbie in that game).

I won't be able to attend sunday 26th as I'm in watching the European Finals in handball.

Quote from: JanuZ;380589I have been looking into starting with it, Have played before a few games but no more than that. I have also been considering if I should change my server since I have an account on Nordic/East but West might be more commonly used here

I think Europe West is definitely the most active server, but they've had issues with the european servers during weekends because of the massive playerbase (I think it more than doubles any other online game at the moment, but don't quote me on that!). They're building a new data center in Europe though, that will fix these issues. Again, once you get into it, it is very hard to put aside. :)

I do indeed still play it, but be advised, as is normal with these kinds of games, it takes a good while to get into them and they rely heavily on knowledge of the game's mechanics and what other characters are able to do.
It's still a ton of fun though, especially with a premade team, since you then avoid the community that can be fairly horrible at times.

Worth a try in my honest opinion, I definitely prefer it to other games in the genre (having played most of them) and it's very smooth in almost every aspect.
