Apart from the grammar issues, does anyone see the smaller typesets as fuzzy or is that just me?

What do you do Jewel? :)

MEME

Did you take the photo Sparhawke as its a nice macro shot.

No, it is a random photo I found on the internet, and the yellow legs in that configuration just reminded me of the lion fur he wears :)

Quote from: Penfold;372180you guys are waaaaay too serious .

It's the fact that it's so fake, fixed and staged that makes it amusing to watch.

I just find staged stuff annoying, and over the top "presenter" types even more so. At least with storage wars there is the chance that they will walk away with sod all; this show seems to have been sponsored by the auctioneers to get people down and bidding...

Movies, Music & Books / The Book Thread

I have read a lot of books, and generally speaking I like them but "76. The Secret History ---------- Donna Tartt" is one that should be consigned to the eternal fires of hell and left there. Never have I come across a writer so impressed by her command of completely making you wonder why you started it. If I wanted to have to learn a new word of the day every other page I would've bought a dictionary.

The overall premise is good, but it is so long-winded...and people claim it to be a classic??!

Should you read it? Possibly, but make sure you have a gun and a bullet from page 2 onwards.

I find it annoying, and a cheap knock-off of storage wars which is actually entertaining since occasionally you will get to learn some history of the objects rather than just a dollar price.

Also I don't like the over the top bald auctioneer who wants nothing more but to shove people out of the way so he can go snooping around in peoples newly acquired storage huts.

My name is Phil though while online I am Sparhawke/Spar, named after a popular pandion knight and I hail from the North West of England.

I have only just heard about this forum when it was mentioned in the gaming forum of MSE and thought I would check it out because how it was said was that it is all about fairplay and just playing, without cheats.

I have always played this style, being a player moderator of Runescape as well as a forum admin (now retired) of one of the biggest fansites and have been a long time member of the Amazon Basin if anyone has heard of us? We are very similar, started out in 2000 as a gamers group for Amazons in Diablo2 and rapidly became a top ranking guild. Basically the playstyle there was if it is found in a group game it belongs to the group, not simply the one who got there fastest. No cheating, no bots and simply have fun.

It has had a bit of a decline unfortunately which is why I find myself here wanting to play with others.

My main game right now is D3 but I do plan to bounce around BF3 when I get my mouse/headphones fixed :)

Anyways, thats enough about me; ask any questions :)

(Just met Duvel on the TS server and hope to play BF3 one day)
