Counter-Strike / dMw Csgo Competitive team?

I'm down for this but can probably only commit to say, twice a week. How intense are you planning on getting into this?

Also on the ESEA/FaceIt discussion, pretty sure ESEA is paid membership. I'd rather give it a go on something free like FaceIt, at least to start.

With MM as it is currently you probably would have deranked on the winning side..... xD

Counter-Strike / Tips for beginners
January 08, 2016, 05:14:18 PM
The most basic things I would say that really helped me are:

1. Crosshair placement. A lot of players will be looking at the ground/sky/where they're walking and as CS:GO is mostly (debatable?) about reaction times this can really hurt you. Keep your crosshair at head level, think about where the enemy will be when rounding corners, etc.

2. Sensitivity. Keep sensitivity low to make sure you can accurately aim. This will help in the future as well as you consider recoil/etc as well. Pairs nicely with a large mouse mat, which you asked about.

Other than that I'd agree with uni: practice practice practice! You can't force your brain to know the maps/timings/economy without getting in there and playing it. Concentrate on basic skills (crosshair placement for now, recoil later, etc) and let the feel of the game come from lots of play.

Good luck!
