Flight Sims / P3D V4 next week!!!!
June 01, 2017, 08:55:19 PM
I used P3D for entertainment one evening. I reported myself to Lockheed Martin and told them it was purely inadvertent. They were very good about it but gave me a stern warning NOT to have any kind of fun in future. So far I've been able to comply.

Still, the sentiments nevertheless apply.

:D

I was taking a walk down memory lane this afternoon by having a read of these here forums. Asetto Corsa looks like a lot of fun and reminded me that 5th ain't all that!(Deetzie still here!) Anyway, what struck me was how civilised dMw is. Particularly,a post by Paul answering a 'should I do this' post. Can't remember where it was but I thought, 'If that post was made on AVSIM(where I spend most of my time) there would be an avalanche of conflicting opinions resulting in the thread 'going south' and being closed.

Anyway, I thought I'd share that with you. :)

*hic* night night all.

It's my Birthday! / Get it off your chest ...

My kind of thread.

Designer car parks.
More room is given to trees, islands and great big thick poles sticking out of the ground by just 2ft, than to cars. Meanwhile traffic trails round the block trying to get in said car park!

iPhones (and varieties of)
I'm certain they are very handy for all sorts of stuff. But while you're walking along? One girl came towards me, head down thumb swiping and jabbing at her phone. I said "Look out! Dog poo!" She did a little soft shoe shuffle before realising I was taking the p***.

Shop staff as mates.
"Hello mate, y' awl right? An exchange in Asda's. Checkout fella: "Hello mate, y' awl right?" Ron: "Do you know me?" Checkout fella: "No". Ron: "Do I know you?" Checkout fella: "er, no." Ron: "Then I'm not your bloody mate then am I?"
That is teamed up along with "Have a lovely afternoon" or "Enjoy the rest of your day" My reaction to the first one was: "I'll try, but we're going to a funeral this afternoon" That shut her up.

I have LOADS more...:norty:

 Thanks Smilo. I can't believe I didn't think of that, it's so bleedin' obvious! Now, let's go see if you're right. :D

Well, a bit right. That allows me to point it places but control is a loooong way off in the distance.

Can I assume that everyone here can steer these things and actually go where they want? Because I can't! However much keyboard pounding and mouse waggling the thing just goes round and round. What is the secret? I've even disconnected all my controllers, no difference. 'Peeved' doesn't quite do it!

It seems I was missing a folder in CitizenClient\Data. There was no controller info at all. Repair didn't want to know, it just sat there like a lemon. So I removed the CitizenClient folder and downloaded again. The speed is a damned sight quicker than it was last night! I'm getting 7mb/s as opposed to 1.5-2mb/s

We shall see if I have any control. Before I just went round in circles!

EDIT: It said 3 patches. Two patches were downloaded and installed. It gave up the ghost on the third patch! Result, no change to the original download. I'll try uninstalling the lot and start again.

You know the feeling when you just want to DRINK!

Quote from: TeaLeaf;384977Think there is an invert option for that in Game Controls (or whatever it is called).  Press Escape...

Correct...but. They are preselected game controllers/joysticks. If you don't have what is available you're sunk. They need for the game to scan your PC for all input devices, not just the one they see fit.

Star Citizen will fail! :lmfao:

EDIT: NTS, read the post you're quoting properly! Key word 'invert'.

Frankly, any issues I have will be had by people more qualified than me. The forum will be awash with bug hunters.

The learning curve, for me anyway, is....steep! Control is haphazard to say the least! For me, one of the first things to sort out will be the joysticks  etc. Looks great. Could go far.

Did anyone else have connection problems? To be expected I guess.

Promising. :thumbsup2:
