Finally got a chance to buy HL2 and Source.

But how do I get down the console menu in-game? I tried the usual ~ key, but it doesn't respond to anything

I was thinking heat problems as well, which is strange, because the new water cooling system is better than what used to be there.

This evening it happened again, but this time with an error msg about the graphics card. I can't remember what it said exactly, but it was something about the graph. card and it not being able to receive or perform a certain action.

Oh by the way, is there anywhere I can check the temperature on my graphics card?

The only thing I recently installed was a water cooling system. I tried again this morning and it worked on one of the servers I had problems with earlier. I guess it's just another thing I have to add to my "mysteries-of-life list."

I have no idea why this happens all of a sudden, but after a short period of time playing CZ, it just shuts down the computer. Actually, it turns off the monitor and makes it impossible to turn on again or even Ctrl Alt Del back to Windows Desktop. The strange thing is that this happens on certain servers only; Meathook and DoGs server.

Clues anyone?

Ok last night I had an, well, unusual dream.  The dream was that I was actually in CZ as a CT. Not as a gamer, but a person.  I was there with the other teammates at CT spawn on de_dust2 when all of a sudden Doorman started explaining on the walls there, what his name actually meant. It looked like an outdoor lesson with him as the teacher, and the rest of us as humble students.  I remember worrying about the T's who soon would arrive, but Doorman didn't seem to bother with this at all.  Anyway, he came to the conclusion that his name meant "a man who opens toilet doors for others" I didn't realize there were people who had these kinds of jobs, but  for some reason it  seemed very convincing at the time.  

Am I going crazy?  

Tormenting hostages or carrying a backpack one round, then be the guys who stop these people from doing just that the next round. Simple  :lol:

Thanks alot m8. Thought the version might be the problem, cuz it had some problems connecting to the update server. Anyway, C-D, Steam, then play...got it!

Been trying to play on Razer a few times now with C-D.
The problem is that every time I log on to the server, a minute or so passes before I get kicked out to the Main menu. Why?

I was just thinking about something. See, I served a little over 2 yrs in the army, where 13 months was spent in Kosovo. In the last mentioned in particular, we had great use of the "buddy-system", another soldier in your squad who looks after you and vice versa. How would this work in CZ? It can easily be done by just deciding who's scratching who's back at the beginning of each map. I have also noticed some players who seem to have a fairly good control over the map as to where to hide, assault, ambush, defend etc. What if one of these players worked as teamleaders?
I have no idea how this works in-game,  but it  would be fun to try.

Is it just me, or are all the servers down?
 

Well, all I want is some nicely spent time on the Meathook. My head aches if I don't...I start thinking freaky thoughts .....I.....need.........CZ-time.........now.

Was browsing thourgh the site earlier today and found out I should apply the EAX sound in CZ. Now, it also said how to turn off the echo (hallway effect) but I can't find it.
