I play on battle.net about once a week for a good session. Thing is , I used to play a hell of a lot a while back but my sister snapped my cd in her cd drive (for the expansion pack). I was waiting on her to buy me a new CD but it never happened, time passed and I finally gave up and baught my own copy - and my character was gone

Im at level 22 right now... but its a rock solid game - I love it.

weeeel if you people get a CS-S game organised then Id play but I dont know how to organise something like this through forums. If more people used the IRC channel it'd be dead easy just to ask there if anyone wants to go play CSS for a round or two... light right now :S

Sadly I wont see you on the servers as I dont have CSZ, Ive got CS and CSS. I'll just wait it out until something more happens on the CSS front - Im in no rush and Im sure some of the guys will want to play CSS from time to time

If you dont want to show an interest in the first place, you probably will never get into anime because it takes up a lot of time. I never watch TV , but Im forever watching anime that I download off the net. If you really want to see what I would call a "good anime" go to this weblink and watch the first 3 episodes of this series, and I mean the first 3 eps, it takes a while to get into the story line and you'll probably find the first 1 and a half eps boring :

Go there and download the anime called "Bleach". Its a relativly new anime and is very popular in Japan at the moment

There are so many different types of anime out there though, its like drama TV shows, yes they all have actors and are filmed for TV audiences, but the storylines are always different.
Think of a film and there will be an anime in that style , horror, adventure, action, romance (eugh!) , drama, comedy... Im sure you can think of loads more different types you just need to have the patients to download a few different series and find out what you like. Not everyone likes the same things

Another way to look at it is Disney cartoons (but NEVER compare them to Anime directly). Something like Beauty and the Beast is nothing like Toy Story or Monsters Inc, or Ice Age. I know a lot of people who would watch Ice Age but wouldnt touch The Little Mermaid with a 10ft bargepole

Anyway Ive waffled along waaay too much on this topic already so I think I'll call it a day. If you have an interest in anime, you will probably have already gone out of your way to get stuff on your own by now

I dont really like the landscape stuff , I like more hand-drawn art / sci-fi stuff. Everyone too their own I guess

I watched some Guyvar episodes a while back and they were pretty cool, I think I saw the first 3 but isnt there something like 14 videos or so... I cant remember

Out of the old classics I like Ninja scroll, Armatage 3, 3x3 Eyes, stuff like that. These days I dont want anything that is anywhere near as bloody and violent. Like Naruto, Kyou Kara Maou and Bleach (well two of them are viloent but not as much as the older stuff).

What other animes do you watch ? Anything that is pretty un-known ? Would be nice to see something I havnt seen before.

Hmm if you go by the cliche' that all un-educated westerners go by then it is simply :

-Japenese Cartoons

but it is far more than that - also, the majority of Anime that I have seen does NOT feature sex. Only the 80's manga uprising that occured (Manga as in UK anime label, not Japenese Manga) - those are just crap, swaring swaring, sex and vilence, then more swaring.

If you want to see some more commertial examples of "true" anime, check out:

P.S and remember , Pokemon is Anime, but it is children's anime and is at one end of the scale. At the other end there is the sickening Urotsaikydojo (sp?). I watch Animes in the middle of the spectrum that are great entertainment for all ages

Main problem is that I have CS 1.6 and CS-S but I dont have CSZ , I'll see if I can find it cheap somewhere at some point. If I can find it for say, £10 or less then I'll get myself a copy just to see what its all about

Other than that I'll hang on the forum at least just to keep up to date with the latest happenings

There is loads of anime you can get on the net that is classed as "unlicensed" , IE, not commercially sold in US or EU. Its very dodgy but basically, if something is "unlicensed" then the anime studios in Japan dont mind the fan-subbing that goes on. If however something becomes Licensed, then they tell the fan-subbers to stop.

I dont know the complexities but I do know this, if you ever have liked anime in the past, there is so much stuff you can download off the net (and its not on dodgy sites like vip-torrents or anything like that).

I dont know any of you people yet , so here is my first question to the masses:

Does anyone here watch Anime ?

If so, what anime do you watch ? what is your favourite series? How much Anime do you watch a week ? Are you obsessive like me or have only ever seen shows like Akira, Ghost in the Shell and Ninja Scroll ?

I watch so much Anime now its silly, it doesnt help that my girlfriend loves anime, plays videogames and loves metal - all the stuff I like. Well it does help in a way because if I blow money on crap, its usually crap that she wants anyway hehehe.

Ahh the old blocking complaint. Sometimes it is very valid and Im sure this time it was (as it sounds like it from your description), however, today it seems to be a blatant excuse by the masses who cant take loosing or being killed.

I mean, the amount of public servers where people have gone off on one for players "blocking", its almost as if, now that most gamers have broadband, they cant complain about loosing due to ping or lag or packet loss, so have moved onto the next best thing they can conjure up.

I mean, people run through a corridor, everyone tries to rush but the person infront starts to be attacked and falls back but is "blocked" by the other players and gets fragged (usually me    ), but I dont complain. Then the next round everyone complains at this person for "blocking" when infact its the entire teams fault that the situation happened because they stopped that player from getting cover and hence, being fragged.

People these days huh ?

I "know" Blueball from the HV-forums , or have at least seen him around there (remember his avatar heh).

I dont have any money right now, Im a poor poor student so cant afford to get CS-Z , and I want to play CS-S more. Hopefully even if your server doesnt come back up, we can still get a few games going somewhere (Eg 4 or 5 of us play on a public server on one team).

I hope you have played 0.25 and got it from d3files , originally fileplanet listed 0.25 as their mod of the month but infact had the download as 0.20 ....

Deathmatch will hopefully be in the next release but as there is so much stuff being worked on right now we really cant say what will be included other than a few more maps and extra weapon models (if we get a new modeller).

Hi, I found out about this site and clan through my ISP forum (Hi Velocity).

Im interested in playing a few matches with a close community and heck, one day join a clan that is fun based more than one of those serious clans.
