It's been nigh on 2 years for me here and I have been thinking for a couple of months now that it might do me good to have a bit of a change, I'd like to try a different way of doing things and while teaching an old dog new tricks is a good thing, I hope that the new blood in sog will feel that they have more opportunity with out the stuffy reputation of people as old as myself.

Before I go any further, This is not an indication of my thoughts towards anyone in the guild, I've had fantastic fun here and would like to think my input has positively affected people in some way. I think you're all great and hope that no few of you will still talk/invite/mess about with me online.

There are a great deal of you who I'd like to say bye to personally but for 2 reasons I won't:
1) I don't want to alienate anyone by forgetting them.
2) I'll still be around on the server.
3) I couldn't find some people around :/

I hope bastet won't hate me for this, we've had our disagreements in the past but I'd like to think we've both leanred from the huge amount of experience we have both had, he's a fantastic chap, and i'm only sorry to say I had started deciding to do this before the GM change-over, so all of you who are going to be in SoG through what is going to be a difficult upheaval, give him your support. I hope it does not seem to people that i'm running away following other people, again, I was seriously considering it before I knew ANYONE else was leaving, I just take longer to think about things since I'm old and slow.

Since I don't want ther eto be any snide remarks or surprises I wil lend by saying I will also be going to Genesis, since it's nice to be with people you know, and I was asked quite nicely, so it's not quite so scary for me as an entire new guild with people I don't know.

Feel free to call on me for help/advice etc, was great to raid with you all

P.S. I hate there being bad feeling around so if anyone wants to discuss any of this with me I won't officially gquit until the weekend (unless I get kicked out before that)

2) yeah people bitched about the BElf models regardless of what was done to them, personally I like em, but then I'm playing a BElf rogue who's so cute ^^
3) Elves in general look great, humans look dull, gnomes and Dorfs really should be in circuses and not out running free to scare the poop out of the rest of us, damn ugly worms.
4) All current horde chars are slightly worse looking than gnomes, just *ew*

yeh arcane crystals drop from adamantite and khorium but you won't be getting ability to mine these fast, i'm on 326 mining (330 or 335 needed for adamantite) and im lvl 62 already.

I'll try and get more screenies for Gorion to shrink/upload, since i'm lazy

Well, I got Umbra to level 62 in about 8 hours of playing, someone said that the necessary xp is reduced for the beta, I haven't heard this at all, and the xp for lvl 61 was about 516k xp, which is kinda inline with the increases so far.
i need 614k for lvl 63.

the general consensus in my guild of about 400 people is that it can be done in 2 weeks of playing but they are on every day really.

so far with rested bonus, a typical mob kill of one-two levels higher  than me gives 1000 to 1300 xp, and quests i'm soloing are 10k to 13k xp, it was alot faster to get 61 than to get 60 but that is probably helped by the nice gear I have.

instances start with hellfire citadel / ramparts or whatever it's called and one other for lvl 60 ppl, 5 man instances, I think the majority of them are in and planned for release but there are a few really buggy ones.

I haven't seen any 25man lvl 60 instances in there but I haven't looked too hard.

To those whining about levelling, blizzard have quoted that the point is to enjoy yourself and never to have to grind in order to level, if you do they want to change it, questing *is* enough to level you, and the quests are fun and interesting.

There are enough solo-able quests in the first zone to get to 62, and about 64 in the second zone etc.

additionally i recommend enchanters getting some arcane crystals, since these break to arcane dust used for the nice new enchants
also, get a few stacks of runecloth to level your first aid to about 330 or so to get netherweave bandages, (heals for 2800) then get to 360 for heavy netherweave (heals for 3400)

not quite: the first and last letter do not need to be in the right place, and there can be some letters missing (otherwise how would we understand Noevra), and it's down to the simple principle of generalisation from pattern matching, the foremost problem facing artificial intelligences / neural nets being given human tasks.

for example 'cmputre', most people would recognise as 'computer' typo, with the o missing, and r is not at the end.
