After thinking on it for a while it has come clear to me that my current personal situation prevents me to keep-up with the level required to raid the current end game content. Last year I made a big effort to improve and to catch-up, thing that I think I had accomplished and which brought me up to a similar level of my same class raid members, but now, after the xmas period, I saw that all our dps classes had been quite active during this holiday time (which is great for the progress of the raid group and objectives of the guild as a whole) and now I'm again way behind the raiders from my same class, as well as other dps classes.
 
I honestly don't think that I have the energy to catch-up and keep-up with the same level anymore.
 
I think it's the moment to stepback on raiding and go for social member, as my raid spot can be filled by someone that will provide more consistent results than me, as well as distribute evenly the DKP's that I would get otherwise in raid among everybody else and help the guild to progress better in the instances.
 
It has been great raiding for the last half a year with DMR, a really nice experience. It's a pitty that due to my working hours as well as my live location in the other part of the world prevent me of continuing.
 
I will stay in guild as social member and play from time to time during my day time (for a change! and I wish you all the best killing Arthas.

As for the raid quests, we'll be doing those on Thursday too.

I will like to share one concern about the weekly raid quests. These quests can be completed in 10 or 25 man, normal or heroic difficulty and the rewards are exactly the same (correct me if i'm wrong please), and the objectives are rather simple and straightforward, and with the new LFG system is fairly simple to PUG a balanced group and make the quest.
 
To put here an example, the weekly raid quest for this week is to kill the first arachnid boss in Naxx. With a group of fairly geared people, in 10 man, it took less than 5 minutes to PUG it with the new LFG and less than 5 min to do reach the boss and kill him in 10 man, with the reward of 33g, and 5x Emblems of frost / triumph.
 
With this I mean that it's kinda simple thing to do in normal wow time, while in our raid days it will mean valuable time that we can use to focus on the progress of the 25 man instances that we are running.
 
Of course is just an opinion. For this week i'm already saved to the weekly raid quest, so if the weekly raids continue to be official DMR ones, then I will be aligned with that too, but I honestly think that that time will be better used in our other challenges.

Yes, indeed. I don't know about the others, but for me yesterday I runned, the random heroic, the 2 first 5 new five mans, the weekly heoric (piece of cake in Naxxx 10 man, it only took 5 minutes to do it) and the first 3 bosses in ICC.
 
In total got at the end of the day 17x Emblem of Frost. So actually if you use the instances and dailies you can get the 2 pieces T10 set quite fast (gloves and shoulders are 120x Emblems)

Well, but there is still sort of a "daily heroic" thing.
 
In patch 3.30 you can use the "Random Dungeon" fucntionality of the new looking for group panel. The very first random dungeon that you complete in the day, will reward you with 2x Emblems of Frost, plus you can get extra 68gold if your group is totally "random" (ie. not premade, although if some of it is premade, the amount of extra cash will be less) I think im going to love the new LFG system! Looks like it has very nice features.

Was having a look to see if you needed any tanks as was thinking about comnig back into the game more again but looks like you're all sorted.

BTW, at what time to we start? usual raiding time or before?

DNS stands for Domain Name Server. The way it works a DNS is translating a IP address into a domain name. So you can use absolutely any DNS IP address that you want, it doens't have to be your provider one, you can use the ones from yahoo, google, amazon or whichever you find.
 
Usually, any webserver will have DNS configured, so as long as you find a DNS that is more updated than the one that your provider is using should be fine.
 
But tell you what, DNS names take 2 days to spread around the entire planet, so if you keep having issues with your current connectivity, it might then not be related to DNS (as after 2 days the name servers of your provider should normally had been updated). But you can still give it a try if you aren't sure.

What you describes above looks like communication client-server problem, most probably due to a DNS (Domain Name Server) change from Blizzard that is not correctly replicated in the ISP's yet.
 
Try to open a command window and execute a "ipconfig/flushdns" (assuming you are running on windows, for MACOSX you open a terminal and type "lookupd -flushcache")
 
If the problem persist, go to your name server configuration in your OS and change the IP's for primary and secondary name servers to some other DNS provider as your ISP is not updted yet.
