DMR Members Only / Hi guys, Im taking a break
February 27, 2008, 01:08:20 AM
Welcome back! Jim

I have so much stuff to IRL and it is too easy for me to double click the wow.exe. This and the fact that I have only been enjoying guild chat, spamming trade channel and mustering huge amounts of gold from AH lately made me make up my mind about having another break from wow.

I will probably be on to try the expansion roughly 2-3 months after the release.

If I continue to play wow now, I will get good gear, sure, but that gear will be obsolete by the time I get it since there will be an expansion and a new level cap.
What is Vengeful glad. items against items with 120 Sta and 90 Agi etc etc.

So I`ll leave for now, before the only joy I have left is abusing poor innocent wow players again. (I have a history, lol)

See you again in 6 months or so.

I hope to continue playing in SoG by the time I log on again If I have an net conn by the time. Surely I will be living with my GF and working japanese hours (MAD hours) so the gaming hours will be sparese even then if any.

Oh, btw, Welcome back, Jim!
Over and out Adu.

I hope this brings you some answers to the awaited 2.4 patch.
I cant guarantee the accuracy, but it looks good.

World of Warcraft - Dead Men Raiding / 3v3 team
February 14, 2008, 03:41:37 AM
Im not kicking anyone out :roflmao:
I just want to add someone that can play the required matches every week. Luckily there are some spots in the team.

For me atm I am PvE specced and enjoy that a lot, but I will spec into pvp again when we start doing some arena.

heck, I`ll even spec to pve if I want to raid sometimes.

I wont require anyone to be pvp specced, but if anyone have characters or maybe alts that are capable of doing some pvp acrobatics then it would be perfect. Ofc, this also depends on the classes :)

World of Warcraft - Dead Men Raiding / 3v3 team
February 13, 2008, 12:51:55 PM
And it seems that in 2 weeks time we will be 4 players (me, spiritus and 2 more!), eager to do arena.
Even with 4 players in a 3v3 we can all get points.
Trust me, Spiritus is a veteran Arena healer. He had his share of dents in his armor in the arena!

post if interested.

World of Warcraft - Dead Men Raiding / 3v3 team
February 13, 2008, 10:44:28 AM
I have a 3v3 team in my hands with me, Spiritus, theoline, sheeper and lexander in it. At this point Spiritus is not able to play as much as I want him to :( and the rest are not playing at all.

Anyways, I would be glad to invite a healer and a second dps.
We would then be the 3 core players that will play every week.
It would be in the best interest if the two had experience and some res. gear or atleast gear that make them tough enough to go a round in the arena.

Im hoping for TS and a good athmosphere in which we can learn from each fight and get our rating up towards where the goodies are. This team has had a good and steady climb in the ratings from a near 1300 to now 1480ish and I`d like to see this go upwards.

A strong focus is on playing enough games EACH weeks to get points.

A week without playing and we loose out on good points and good times :crying:
please contact me in-game.

DMR Members Only / Kara Alt Run - 12/02/2008
February 13, 2008, 04:03:46 AM
I had a very good time in yesterday!
I would like to thank everyone for being very helpful and patient.
Since it was my first time and not knowing anything in there it was very exiting!! The downside must be that I have not raided for 2 years(?) and respecced 5 mins before the raid, so I was not comfortable on riding the aggrometer too high.
about next time is that I know the fights and trash so I can maximise my dps time and use my combopoints better next time :D

Also, my heart was set on raiding with a deep subtley spec, which I think would be nice, in a alt run in Kara. I wouldnt show up with a deep subtley hemo spec for a first time try attempt on any boss or instances considered "harder" than Kara. urgh, you know what I mean.
Anyways! it was fun and Im tired as a skunk :woot2:

SoG rep is the only rep I`d bother to grind with my pallie if it was a faction!!!

Good thing the rep rewards are the best, even from neutral and upwards.

DMR Members Only / The picture and profile thread
May 23, 2007, 08:20:55 AM
I said I wouldnt post in the forums anymore:rolleyes:

But since I think so much of the friendship amongst the players of wow in SoG, I thought I should contribute to atleast this.

My name is Michal. Im 26 year "young" :D
Im half Norwegian and Japanese. At the time I live in Tokyo taking japanese intensive lasses at Sophia university.

Changes since last time; Trying my best not to hide behind a net identity and launch nuclear attacks towards others.

I posted pictures before, so I will only post a link to something that was supposed to become a blog (well, it didnt, and is not even a sad excuse for one)

Only thing on there is 2 picture galleries.

The Clean Up / why Genesis??
January 02, 2007, 12:35:40 PM
Well, I guess mene/vore etc can get alot of ppl to come join them in their guild.
But Im fairly sure that their guild will be a screw up without comparison.

They are dreamers, oh yes they are. They all have their opinions and how they can make things better. Im fairly sure they dont know how to handle things once they are the ones that have to consider everyones` demands and wishes when it comes to raiding.

The idea of putting together a guild basing it only by 2 things, they are "good" players and they have alot of time playing wow.

The fact that every player in Genesis doesnt have anything other to do than to poke at their pimples and ignoring school besides playing makes them all screwups that cant exist in a structured guild society. So they make their own society, a society of pimple nerds (not the educated nerd, just the screw-school-play-games nerd). This not only drastically reduces the social part of the game (Well, I guess the PTA meetings will be some kind of RL social life) but it narrows things down to such a elitist "I am number one" kind of guild that everyone in the guild will compete both on damage/healing terms but also on being the boi with the most support in the guildies. This guild will just be a series of military coups(spelling?).

You Genesis guys are singing "booooorn to be wiiiihahahaiiiild" but on your own you are just "born to have your mum pick your clothes forever".
You cant do **** on your own and it is a waiting catastrophe. The feeling that gets some guys to gather in some kind of elitist guild is thinking "omg I AM LEET". Well, you should stick to playing tic-tac-toe because wqinning or loosing is all you care about. freaks.

well, finally, I just want to state that I dont remember what I was going to write about, since I am drunk.

The Clean Up / Why You Should Not Be Worried...........
January 02, 2007, 04:16:19 AM
After being absent from the forum for 3 weeks, I wasnt pleased to find all the threads started by ppl leaving WoW or SoG.

Knowing SoG, I would advise all of you still in SoG to have faith in what TL wrote in the opening post of this thread.

There will always be some turmoil in front of changes, during the changes and after the changes. The "big" change will be TBC.
You have a large number of raiders that allready left. It doesnt matter. Those guys are sick and tired of raiding. All they have worked for item-wise over 1,5-2 years now isnt that important for TBC. They wont enjoy TBC in the way that many of you guys will. You guys will be offered opportunities. Opportunities will be offered to you by the extensive network of players and officers in SoG.

Some of the players that left SoG were veterans. Players with extensive experience. But remember that the experience is limited to the fairly repetitious instances during the past 1,5 - 2 years of raiding. What the real loss is, is the loss of players that have raid leading experience.

Most of the players that left was ready for change. I think many of them deserved it. If they stayed in SoG only for the obligation they felt, they would only be of symbolic worth. So in a way, the fact that old sog`ers leave and settle in new networks is an expansion of SoG`s network, because the other option might be players quitting wow alltogether.

I think shaking the tree once in a while to ged rid of the dead leaves as to let the sunlight onto the fresh leaves is a good thing.

I hope that being in SoG after TBC means that more of you are able to enjoy WoW as it is supposed to be enjoyed, in a good guild like SoG.

Being in SoG is taking this mmorpg to a higher level. You can advance beyond your character`s talenttree. You can take on roles in human relations work in this guild to make a bigger impact on others than you or the creators of this game ever imagined.

We all need somebody, and there is a somebody for everyone in SoG.

The Clean Up / if you could meet a sog member....
January 02, 2007, 03:36:19 AM
What about the top 5 you dont want to meet?

I am fairly confident that I`ll be "popular" there.

But over to the topic.

I only want to meet Gorion, and have him to my self in a poorly lit room full of plastic (cheap) chairs, a bottle of turtlewax and a soaking wet bathing towel.

But if I could I`d do the Denmark meet al over again and got more of the ppl that stayed in the hostel to drink and party more!
More drinks, more parties, MORE girls since we were already like 7 in one room all night long, lol.
