I've only gone and lost my BF2 dvd. After frying my laptop and getting it repaired, I decided to start re-installing stuff. But I can't find the dvd as mentioned earlier. I'm starting to get withdrawal symptoms in my WSAD fingers....

Do you have access to anyone elses disk?

If so, make a backup and use the NO-CD patch so you don't have to have the disk in the drive.

EA Customer services might be able to send you the replacement media for a nominal fee (seeing as you have the licence for it, just not the media). I have done this before for a game and got charged £1.50+p&p, but that was back before game security on CD's were widespread, and it was not an online game.

It has been found out by a few people that there is a no-CD crack that can be used for the game. As long as the installation was authentic and your key is good they say that you can run it without the CD/DVD in. However I have no idea if this is legal or not (it doesn't seem to break copyright as you own the game and have your unique hash, but it might be against the EULA).
