Hi,

I currently have 4 slots. Two PC3200 DDR SDRAM 256mb sticks and two PC2700 DDR SDRAM 256mb sticks.

on SiSoft it says they're

Bank 1 Channel A Dimm 0 Synchronus SDRAM 256mb
Bank 2 Channel B Dimm 0 Synchronus SDRAM 256mb
Bank 3 Channel A Dimm1 Synchronus SDRAM 256mb
Bank 4 Channel B  Dimm 1 Synchronus SDRAM 256mb

If I wanted to upgrade, so I need to get 2 x new stick so that each channel has the same amount or not?

Sorry - I'm not too good on this RAM business.

And if anyone can point me in the right direction of replacement (I guess 1gb or 512's_) that'll be great.

TIA

PEN

Ps my machine is a generic off-the-shelf 8300 Dell ( :roflmao: )
