Hi guys...

Just a quicky to say that it was great to see a gaggle of dMw on the [TG] 64 player server last night...

I usually go there to 'hide' - LOL - so it was quite a surprise to suddenly find 'the gang' there too.

Bit of a different pace eh? :)

One thing I found funny is that when I usually play on TG the American players I play with normally can't wait to be Squad leader...With the dMw guys on board last night it was back to the old 'dMw shuffle' of trying your hardest to get out of playing SL!

Hee hee

Maybe Brits just don't like being bossy?

Terrrific time lads - been great if we ALL the dMw could have been in the same squad eh? That would have been interesting.

;)

it's nice to play in semi-organised 64-player mayhem occasionally, and last night was good as there weren't many of us about online to populate the dMw server. The ping is a bit on the slow side for broadband, bit like 56k CS... :) I also found their admining to be lacking in finesse which I ranted about a bit here

Good to see some of you guys last night. Ironic really as I checked out your servers first but they were empty, so thought 'oh well I'll hop on TG1' and saw half the players were you guys!

Tried to look for one of your squads to jump on, but they were all full so I made one of my own. Some nice battles with you guys on Kubra Dam!

My squad had black hawk assaulted the MEC airfield, but eventually got pushed off. We spent most of the rest of the game holding points on the dam. We had quite a few inexperienced CO's playing last night so it felt a little chaotic, but hey everyone has to learn sometime!

monkey - not sure what the ping problem was. I run at a very stable 120-140, rarely spiking. Although it makes leading a target very tough, I find than when i hop back to UK servers I am a lot better for it. Kinda like practicing sword fighting with swords that are heavier.

Also I'm not sure what the admin thing was about. I'm an admin there and was in the TG Teamspeak server. I heard no-one request that anyone was kicked whilst I was there, and did not see it. I'll check the logs to make sure if you like, but it sounds like a drop to me (has happened to me before, and I often get a stock Punkbuster message saying it was for teamkilling).

I Wulfyn!

There was one really long 'bikering' incident which centred aound killing in and around the UCB - it went on and on, and bore the pants of the rest of us! (dMw guys weren't involved.)

Eventually one of the Admins had to tell 'em to stop.

I think it was something to do with guest who weren't used to the TG UCB rules.

Otherwise - fantastic nights gaming.

ping problem is my end of the connection. Typical ping to TG was around 140 I think, but between file-happy housemates and over-subscribed telewest lines in the area my ping jumps to over a second for a while sometimes no matter where I'm playing, often resulting in a ping-based kicking :) Not fussed about the drop/kick last night, though I suspect it was a kick as my ping was smooth at that point and I had just blown up a tank right outside the UCB  never mind eh...

Ack - I get that all the time. Jump on BF2.. what's my ping.. 1600!! Stop using torrent you cretins ;) Half way through an assault one of them will just try and sneak a download on, and then say "not sure what your problem is, it'll only be 20 minutes"... yeah fun for me!
