Just finished the last game of Karkland...

Fantastic come-back on the MEC team's part!

:)

For some reason we got rollered at the beginning of the game right back to the train wreck and things were looking really bad (fastest game in history!)...

But somehow we managed to get a break and pulled things back to the Suburbs. Excellent work from everyone...Brilliant defending at the Suburbs - then a fast rush on the Square...

From then on in it was a back and forwards game between the Suburbs and the Square - with each flag changing hans several times. But finally we stabalized it at the Square - with guys holding the flag from the roof...

Then - unbelievably - a sneak rush forward got the Hotel. The USMC team took the Hotel flag back a few times after that, but we really got our act together.

Terrific stuff from Blunt, Toxteth and Monkey (even despite my rubbish SLing - luckily for them I crashed out near the end of teh game giving someone better a chane to lead!)

Sorry about the Noob Tubing Armitage - honestly it was what I had in my hands at the time (waiting for tanks)!

Best come-back in a while - all the way from the Train Wreck to the Hotel! Phew!

That was a terrific couple of games...

the last but 1 was looking like a 19-130 drubbing...but Sn00ks turned it round for us...top SL m8   and we waltzed it at the end :D

Karkand was another good un...it never disappoints does it?

great teamwork and a self depracating SL  ...

I like to be self depracating...but I'm not very good at it :P

Armitage

yeah good game apart from the over use of the Eryx.

i'm still not sure how we lost. I think in the end we stopped working as a team.

nice win :worship:

Apologies to those of you who ended up on my side last night - I'd taken my medication early and was half asleep when I joined server so my teamwork was, shall we say, less than optimal :(

...and to those of you who didn't notice any difference:    :narnar:

Again - sorry about the 'Noob Tubing' Armitage - that was me...

I was SL and designated ATW guy (as you kept bringing up that armour!)...

SO - inevitabley - I was running about with the ATW in hand most of the time - so if someone appeared in front of me (usually you) I couldn't do anything else but loose off a missle.

(Usually I play Assault.)

Big sorry - it was unintensional.

In my defence I should say that I did my fair share of gunning - and changed back to my usual Assault when your guys stopped using armour so much .

I was just happy to find the dMw server alive and kicking when I got back from the pub! ...I then continued on the TG server ... It's all your faults I am now knackered! Luckily a phd doesn't have a strict 9am start :narnar:

Armitage - I don't understand the ranting bit. If you play armour which is a huge advantage on Karkland, you must expect AT guys, and if they come across a player on foot they are going to shoot you with the AT because their gun is ineffective at all but close range. Thats life I'm afraid, you can't have your cake(ie armour) and eat it  :narnar:

I will happily AT guys all day long - I actually think its a good skill  :D

Blunt

I agree that getting AT'd is annoying....but only because it is such a lame weapon against infantry (at least it is when In my hands)

I got AT'd by Lib last night...you should've heard me cuss  (off comms obviously)

my wife said to me "what's a Lib, and who is wearing a boob tube?" (well not exactly :P )

usually I can dodge the missile pretty well though cos it's so slow

If you are playing AT looking for armour and you find a foot soldier there is no way you are going to do anything other than fire the rocket at them. Changing to pistol or rifle takes too long and you are dead by the time you change.

I like to watch to missiles come in - its like fireworks - and then I die!
