It took me a week just to learn how to get airborne. I don't actually think I ever managed to land properly once 8O

If you are into realism then have a look at Falcon 4. It is extremely realistic (I was a nav on fast jets for 6 years so I know)

Yes, you read that headline right. Network 42 is pleased to announce the arrival of our Falcon 4.0 Server. The server is running on a trial basis now to gauge current and future community interest. You will need to download a couple of updates and add-ons if you haven't played in a while or are buying the game new.

Why a flight sim? Over the past year we have had quite a number of inquiries into hosting a combat flight sim. We tried IL2 but it had no dedicated server support so it was ruled out as a supported game. Falcon 4 gives us the ability to host a very realistically modeled simulation along with the ease of having a dedicated server configuration.

Just one word of warning. Watch out for Creepy847!

And last week someone from/on N42 was running an IL2 server! And there's someone else posting a whole whack of WWII-Online pictures that look like fun.

BTW: If any of you are early-birds, check the N42 CS server around 4-9am GMT on the weekends. We've actually had some activity then! No password anymore, but since CS itself in general is so dead, we only usually get one or two non-pcs players in an evening to indoctrinate. (I still don't get home early enough to join you guys, will continue to try harder)

Yeah, IL2 is the business. Arm, Doorman and Myself have been playing it recently. It's just a case of buy or get hold of the game (and 2 patches), download Hyperlobby, Download Roger Wilco and get your self a Joystick. It's far simpler than the other Flight Sims around mainly because the planes were simpler in them days and it works treat online with about 12 people for a 512K DSL line.

I (and Doorman last week) play on a Wednesday with CGA gamers and it's such fun. Ooohh what a lark! :lol:
