Asp file management application

Right uhm well here goes:

I run a homepage for a little community - //www.tsuriai.dk. I know a wee bit of ASP and have put a site up based on vbscript and MySQL. No idea how I managed that, fumbling in darkness  :blink:

Now, we are 5 people in need of restricted file management access to a folder and all subfolders. I have found about 10 different scripts written for that purpose and either

a) I need to set the program up as an application on the server, which I have no right do to - it is a cheap server which I have no influence on - or other specs are not fulfilled

B) problems with SunASP 4 (poor) and

c) there is no protection.

Does anyone know of a script/application that by f.i. a password allows access to files in an area, and allows for at least folder browsing, renaming and download? As simple as possible. I have one that does the job, but it has a) no protection and B) no directory walking due to error 500.100 - that is access right?

Edit: if all goes bad I can run the application on my own server which has MS ASP etc.  - but I still need to find an application that fulfills a) and B) above

I bet there is a programming guru out there... and if there is a chance of some knowledge being dumped into a reply post it would be much appreciated
