Bastet

Moam, third boss of AQ20

Ability's:
- Drain Mana - Drains 500 mana from a fixed number of people. Virtually unlimited range. Gives 1000 mana to Moam per person.
- Arcane Explosion - If Moam's mana reaches 100% he emotes "Moam bristles with energy" and unleashes a 3000 damage arcane explosion plus fall damage.
- Summon Mana Fiend - 90 seconds into the battle, Moam summons 3 Mana Fiends, which are arcane elementals. They also cast arcane explosion for 1000 damage and no knockback. They can be banished.
- Turn to Stone - Also at 90s, after summoning the mana fiends, Moam will turn to stone. In this state he cannot attack and does not drain mana (but does regenerate some). After a period of time, or if his mana reaches 100%, he comes out of stone.

Strategy:
This fight is divided into two phases, and given the correct group makeup it is a very simple fight. This fight requires a lot of mana drain. Having three Warlocks and three Priests is highly recommended. Also, a Hunter's Viper Sting should always be on him. If there is not sufficient mana drain, Moam will do a massive AOE which throws everyone into the air causing about 3,000 Arcane damage, then fall damage. The AOE can be avoided by running away as well, but is obviously not the method of choice, so just keep him mana drained. Druids and either Shamans or Paladins are the main healers for this fight. 90 seconds into the fight, he spawns 3 Arcane Elementals (Mana Fiends). The Warlocks will keep these banished for the remainder of the fight. After Moan summons the elementals, he turns to stone and does not attack or mana drain (mana regen is still active though). It is best to kill him while he is still in this stage. If you don't kill him fast enough, he will spawn another group of Elementals; at this point, a wipe is very likely.

When Moam dies, heal up the raid. Then, kill the Elementals one by one as they do not despawn on his death.

Also, if you are short on warlocks, the elementals have only 5000 health, so they can be burned down very quickly
