Assassination Spec Stats, aka ... :D

I just have 1 question for you myth Or maybe if someone else has any ideas feel free to reply and make this more clear to me.

Wich secondary spec is the most important. Haste or mastery?

I've run my gear stats through MR. Robot and shadowcraft and they both tell me to loose all of my haste en reforge everything into mastery. I have done this and tbh my dps did NOT increase, on the contrary.  I've read the elitist jerks forum and the answers you get there are to vague due to hundreds of people answering them and eventually discussing bout something else :sideways: Atm i feel that balancing out my haste and mastery but still giving prio to mastery is giving me the best dps.
What i did notice is that haste does give a direct wpn dmg increase in your char stats.

Let's try and tweak everything we can here please

I know the estimated EP values given by EJ, i've compared mine constantly with it
Looking at his stats i can only assume that i'm doing everything right. He's also balancing out his haste and mastery but still giving prio to mastery.
Guess i'll just keep doing everything the same then
Still, if anyone else thinks differently, pls say so.

Well as my rogue is assassin, with a combat off spec, you`d think i`d know a lot about it.. hmm not really

As you know, haste is a decent thing, up to a point, where it either becomes nearly impossible to reach the next threshold or you are going to gimp you dps by trying, so a good amount of haste and the rest into mastery (Hit capped ofc).

As you have pointed out, over capping both haste and mastery basically reduce your dps, and as you have also pointed out, by balancing your stats, with slightly more weight into mastery, you`ll gain a dps increase.
