Finally, please try to resist the temptation to make regular one-smilie replies (we acknowledge that the Laugh section is a little different). The forums are here for you to read and reply - it is incredibly frustrating to go to thread after thread after thread to *read* a topic that looks of interest just to see another one-avatar reply that adds nothing to the community. If it doesn't add value then please don't add the post - we will all be better off as a result. Just apply common sense when you post a reply please.

Posts that dont add value to the thread that its posted might get removed, so try and please make sure that whatever you post adds value to the thread.

Thanks,
The Officers

PS: This goes for Neff / Sinap / Dalto too (if not espescialy)

I've thought of this for some time myself, cause since we got these new forums the amount of "spam" messages has increased rapidly.  Not really shure why, cause it wasn't like this onl the old forums - or maybe it was, but not in such a big amount.  In small pieces, it can truly be funny, but if over half of the posts in every thread is totally off-topic, it just gets annoying.

This is something I think you should not do - ever!  This is supposed to be an open forum where people should be allowed to express their oppinions, or just talk crap/b****shit if they like to - the last one should be kept as much as possible to the off-topic section.
I think most of the people who are browsing these pages are totally capeable of deciding what posts fit where, but if somebody don't get the simple message stated in this thread and need a small reminder every now and than, you can do so in a PM.

And please also remember that the ability to joke and have fun with almost everything is a very important part of the SoG spirit - just look at Bastet's PS at the end of his post  :roflmao:    This is something we should treasure :D

I do't think Bastet was suggesting that he would remove posts as a matter of routine, but where the hints and prompts to reduce the sheer volume of garbage posted are ignored.  If someone ignored the prompts what else would you do Bob?  I guess we could split the garbage posts into a single garbage thread - that might actually be kinda funny, sort of like the three word story but with 90% of the story being written by only a few people and read by even fewer ;)  :roflmao:

That is actually a very good idea TL :D  Cause you have the administrative abilities to move posts from one thread to another, don't you?

The main thing of my concern, is that nothing should ever be deleted (as fare as possible ofc) :)

Umbra

is there a vote on what people consider trash?

Personally If i read the offtopic or general sections I like a nice read, rather than bare dry facts.

so much censorship appearing, should i start practising goosestepping too?

When you're knee deep in a goose's backside then you'd better be either goosestepping or sinking.............
