I know I might be over reacting a bit here, but at the risk of sounding greedy here goes.

I skip ZG to help Bastet out on the RG2 run, because it is a bit much to handle alone. This I have no problem with. It's my alt so I won't get any loot, though there is the faint hope that noone will need the leaf if it drops.
We have an awesome raid and even get a first kill on Ragnaros which is just awesome.

But the thing is, when we move to Onyxia's Lair, take her down and the Black sinew drops. (Needed for the Hunter epic quest).
It takes a while and I can allmost feel it in my hands, but then Priori whispers. So ok, he is a main, there goes my chance. Just to be sure though I ask him if he has the leaf; nope. If he has the blue sinew; nope. He asks me what they are and where he gets them. This is where the glass is about to go a bit full for me. But ok, the rule is still there, so I give it to him.

At first I got pissed because I thought he was a "new guy" or initiate even, but Bastet corrected me. He has been with us for a while. Wll ok...
After a chat with Deadly later before logging off, I get informed that this is a verry inactive player that has only been to two raids counting this one, and he is probably not going to play at all during the next months. This is to put it mildly a kick in the nuts. After helping out with no loot for this long, someone steals the questitem from under my nose without even intending or having the time to do the quest. Most likely he doesn't even know what is required for it.
If you look at his attendance you'll see how utterly rediculous this is...

Pissed off lootwhore going to bed...

Yes, the current system isnt too swell, and your welcome to make changes, or help make a totaly new one. But at this time all we can do is enforce the current rules. And making a exception for the GM (who as far as i know doesnt have the leaf either  :narnar: ) is not the signal we want to send. If we do something to alts we have to do it to *all* alts.

Well, i have to agree totally with Bastet here. If we start taking loot for the GM's ALT  before the members (no matter what the attendance) then we are no better than Bein stealing from the guild. The rules we have now, we need to follow, and if we arent satisfied with certain people's attendance, then we should start controlling that a whole lot more, and issue warnings/kicks where appropiate.

ALT's are good for the guild and the players playing them, but lets not forget that our focus should be on the mains, the ALT's should be lowest priority in my opinion

I feel for you Vargen, but I am just not sure what we can do.  I suspect our focus should be to make sure that RG2 attendance is consistent, that way everyone in the raid will have th esinew/leaf etc and thne the alt can get the loot.  I'll think on it some more.................

Well over some sleep I got to cool down. But one thing is for sure, this guy would never have passed trial and should really only be in the guild as a soldier if that.

It's not that I didn't get it over a member that pisses me off, it's that memebers can be so greedy that they don't even consider passing on an item they're not even gonna use. If I see him attend and get the two other parts and complete the quest, fine, then I will leave it behind me.
For me it is all about completeing the two hardest quests in the game. That is one of the main goals I have at the moment.

Just so you know, you don't need the Blue sinew. Just the Black sinew and the Leaf.

TeaLeaf

Jeez, I hate these noobs who don't even bother to find out about their epic quests.....

You need the blue one for the quiver, and I wouldn't say no to a 18 slot quiver any more then you would say no to a 18 slot bag.

Missed a bow in ZG yesterday rolled 97 and won then it wos main pri on it
i can feel ur pain Vargen. But it went to a soldier so at least he wont just run to MC and get a better one

btw gib big bags now plx :lmfao:

Well I wouldn't put much weight on the Blue sinew, almost every time it drops on a Azuregos kill we get like 1 roll.

But personally I feel that your situation was abit harsh but in the end the rule works well  for us because seeing alts running around with lots of epics while the mains were half blue/half epic would be stupid.
