I have been trying to add a walk toggle alias and can't seem to get it to work.
What I did was made the configure file in notepad, then in that file put in the exce-alias and bind. I did a bind for some weapons and equipment and they work fine.

I can't seem to get a simple toggle alias to work. All I want to happen is when I push shift, I walk till I push shift again. Is it alright to have the binds and aliases on the same page? Any help, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, that is not a problem, you can define binds and aliases in any order. And since your other scripts work fine I assume that it's not a problem loading them.

I also have a walk toggle and it looks like this:
//walk toggle
alias "t_walk" "t_walk_on"
alias "t_walk_on" "+speed; alias t_walk t_walk_off"
alias "t_walk_off" "-speed; alias t_walk t_walk_on"

bind "CTRL" "t_walk"
The alias part is in a separate alias.cfg and all keybinds in a binds.cfg for easy editing. I load everything from write protected .cfg's in a non-standard location that I can run in console if something is messed up by evil admins and/or servers.

Thanks Cain, I'll try that tonight. Question? Do you seperate all your binds and aliases<, or do you put them in just as you posted it? Could I also use the same alias for duck, just replace walk with duck? Thanks for the help.

It's no problem keeping them together but sometimes it makes sense to keep binds in 1 file so you don't overwrite by mistake ;)

Joker

See I have mine under one file like this;

ecec.alias.cfg

alias nvcn:jcc:
alias  db;acnks;cks
alias  yoio; jidio;

ecec. bind.cfg

bind "hui" uil
bind "uyio" dfghj
bind "xcvb' hjk

Just an example, not how it looks.
I just started doing this stuff so I'm on a toddler learning curve.
How do you seperate them?

JB

I keep mine seperated by a comment so I know just what each does.

Such as:-

//   weapon binds

bind f1 shield
bind f2 awp
bind f3 deagle
bind f4 ak47
bind f5 m4a1
bind f6 vest

//   Primary/seconday switch weapons

bind kp_end prisec2
alias prisec1 "slot1; bind mouse1 +disco; bind kp_end prisec2"
alias prisec2 "slot2; bind mouse1 +disco; bind kp_end prisec1"

//   Volume on mouse wheel

volume "0.8"
bind MWHEELDOWN "VDown"
bind MWHEELUP "VUp"

alias VUp "Vol9"
alias VDown "vol7"
alias vol1 "volume 0.1; wait; alias VUp vol2; alias VDown vol1"
alias vol2 "volume 0.2; wait; alias VUp vol3; alias VDown vol1"
alias vol3 "volume 0.3; wait; alias VUp vol4; alias VDown vol2"
alias vol4 "volume 0.4; wait; alias VUp vol5; alias VDown vol3"
alias vol5 "volume 0.5; wait; alias VUp vol6; alias VDown vol4"
alias vol6 "volume 0.6; wait; alias VUp vol7; alias VDown vol5"
alias vol7 "volume 0.7; wait; alias VUp vol8; alias VDown vol6"
alias vol8 "volume 0.8; wait; alias VUp vol9; alias VDown vol7"
alias vol9 "volume 0.9; wait; alias VUp vol10; alias VDown vol8"
alias vol10 "volume 1.0; wait; alias VUp vol10; alias VDown vol9"

Helps know just what exactly each does and should something need deleting it's easy enough to find.

If you want any help with CS/CZ scripting then gimme a shout, just stay away from anything that involves scripting the timing/recoil/way your gun fires, get you banned on many a server and is highly frowned upon.

And don't put shooting on your mousewheel button.
For the rest, I allways use Rzzh's helper as mentioned by MADness. Rzzh's helper is allowed on all tournaments and leagues.

Yeah, I'm going to check it out when I get to the house. My work pc won't allow it.
Oh yeah, I'm not looking to cheat, I just want to compete efficiently.
Thanks all.
