I was on last night. Found Ranger on. Had a blast! Their server is almost always full, so I rarely venture on there

I've played a bit lately aswell, saw the OBCserver pop up after a refresh of servers but allways full unfortunatly.

Well, my comp is just back up again but I'm thinking of this weekend atleast (maybe shortly tomorrow, will let you know). Sunday not sure as I'm going Sat-Sun to Sensation White, allnight party which I'm probably tired off when I get home.
Also some school stuff to finish which definatly has priority 1 label on it.

Now where's that Paddy when we're typing about him... :narnar:

Oh.. I have been playing Wake Island a lot lately; that map is just great :dribble: It really is a pity AAS isn't compatible with that map

Well, a good CO with some decent SL's can own that map really.
AAS on that would be really difficult as getting from the carrier would be really difficult. Would be cool though with commander off so a squad can go around, nicking all the tanks and hit the base really hard in the back.

Karkand is still a fragfest on most servers.
Ahwell, I still like the ranking a bit. Got a few gold medals again the last time I've played...

Yeah that map could fun to try in AAS! I am also ranking, mostly because my profile with the tag hasn't played so much so the ranks come easy

OBC does get full. Best time to get on is between maps, but of course you dont know when that is. I guess I can leave xfire open and if you want on, type there. I'm afraid the admins wont make slots available for individual non OBC members.

Funny you saying about having the commander function off. The commander seat gets filled by the player with the highest rank (who applies) so its often a non OBC commander and many of them dont communicate with the squads - its like not having a commander sometimes.

Karkand - fragfest - fantastic, I love that map. Of course without AAS the fight can range much wider than the Hotel so it can stop being such a fragfest. I've also played when we just held back the US and pushed right up so they never go off the hill.

Wake Island I like too. Apparently OBC have a mod that they put up from time to time called Wake Airshow. Only aircraft! I hate aircrafte

Another good thing with the ranked servers is going after badges. Badges of course are of no real value, but they do force you to play different roles and that improves your all round play. It also lets you see the game fromdifferent perspectives. I like ranked although I still need my aviators badge.

Miss playing with you guys, monday is our platoons practice night and sunday is scrim night - and those are the only times I see anyone on the Meathook. Lets have a date for the LAN soon and I hope that you can get over to the OBC servers when I am on.

Normal aviator badge can be optained really easy. Just get a decent flyboy and you can start shooting. Or, be the commander, sit in a heli, get an artykill and it counts for heli (I did similar thing to get my TOW and AA golden badges).
Works like a charm.

I'm now still 2 badges away from my "Marksman Infantry Medal".
Also pretty near the War College Ribbon.

I haven't played on Mondays much due to overwork but might be able to pop up and shoot a bit.

I'll try and get on the OBCservers with Delan.
