The Officers had a 3 and a half hour meeting on Friday and reached some conclusions on several issues.

Defender Rank
Currently Marshalls are not party to the decisions over who joins the Defender rank and therefore RG2. The Field Marshalls have decided that it is appropriate that from now on they are involved in the recruitment process and make decisions over who should or should not be given Defender rank and their gain access to RG2.

Attendance
As you know this has been a problem for the last 3 months for both raid groups. We have waited for a long time for the attendance to improve, we've asked when people expect to return to raiding and waited until we have passed the date at which they said their raid attendance would improve. We've been as patient as we can afford ot be without triggering the loss of some current raiding members. We now need to take action and the Field Marshalls have agreed the following steps:

Recruitment
Our aim has always been to provide the best environment within which the SoG members can raid and progress through high levle instances. We are one of the top Guilds on the server and we intend to continue to support members and PVE instance raiding in the best way possible. The Field Marshalls have monitored raid attendance for some time now and we have comprehensive records as to who has attended, which raids they attend, which members are DKP whores (i.e. they attend on the clearance day but are rarely if ever present to die with the other raid members on 'learning the fight day' days) and therefore know the level of attendance for each class and for each member over the last few months. The email survey conducted some weeks back along with the Holiday and Short-Term Absence threads have also provided us with information regarding attendance which we have factored into our deliberations.

Our conclusion is that more Guardian members will be probably be needed, although no more than 1 additional member per class and not all classes will necessarily need the additional member. Final decisions on which classes need an extra member will be taken by the Field Marshalls after the SoG Meet concludes.

We have also concluded that more RG2 members are needed and Marshalls will make final decisions on which Defender classes need an extra member after the SoG Meet concludes.

Attendance - RG1
With immediate effect we have increased the required attendance to 5 out of 6. We will monitor attendance and if you fail to meet the required standard we will be speaking to you about your rank and whether or not you wish to give up your Guardian status or meet the required standards. Holiday and Short-Term Absence threads exist on the forums to help us plan and manage the 40 man raids, so we do not intend to be draconian when you have your 2 weeks in the sun. But, if you are absent without telling us then please do not be surprised if when you come back you have lost your rank!

Attendance - RG2
RG2 started as a casual raid group but progress is now being hit by the unpredicatable nature of Defender attendance and constant need to train people who haven't been in the instance before (soldiers who end up in RG2 raids or Defenders who have not been there for a while and who have forgotten the fights). The Field Marshalls and Marshalls therefore decided to implement an attendance requirement for RG2 and will ask Defender members to attend 4 out of 6 raids. Attendance will be monitored and reviewed on the same basis as RG1 by the Marshalls.

DKP
A retrospective DKP adjustment has been made to the Nefarian first kill. This is now recorded on the DKP site and the recent first kill has been amended to a value of 70 DKP points. Nefarian kills from now on will also get an increased DKP value of 35 instead of 25.

Just a question. If you got about 7 of each class, won't it be impossible for everyone to meet the attendance? ((7*8 * 5/6) > 40).

Attendance is also ok, if you are there online to be in the raid but due to the fact that we have too many, that you dont make it to the raid that evening

We need to have a constant surplus of people joining the raid, and there will be people not coming to certain raids from time to time. The most important thing is that we have 40+ RG1 members to each raid

Even with the 7 members for each class id still be *EXTRMEMELY* surprised if we fill 40 RG1 members for MC.

But we will without a doubt get 50 memebrs turn up for Sunday nights BWL run. As we are probably going to do a full clearance in 1 night

However, it is the *only* solution, with the "2 out of 3" raids that you are expected to attend (now gone up i think to 5/6?) I usually miss 1 out of every 4\5 raids, but i think only once that has fallen on a tuesday or thursday night, its usually sunday i miss (dkp heaven night as some might want to call it). However the 'selective' ill miss that night, "mc, pffft, got me leggings fook it" opinion comes out alot.

Beeing in the queue doesnt mean not getting attendance. And atm you be amazed at just how few ppl show up significantly less on thursday then on other raid nites.

I confess that i have been away from Raids on Thursdays because of work :blush: (but i have said so earlier) i can chose wich nights i need to work and for my personal benefits i chose to Raid BWL and work on the MC night! Iam sry about that   But it is for a short period of time and will last until August then i will be a better Raider and attend on every thursday aswell .

And to add some thoughts on more ppl in RG1! I agree that we need to get a full RG1 raid and not "borrow" ppl from RG2. But beware like i said before i got a feeling that we gonna get the same prob we had before RG2 was formed!!! That ppl are going to get annoyed when the raid is full! The problem we are having now is surely because of the summer and when fall comes we will get overcrowded raids!

Just my thought and i can write even more but i have limited time just now!

So cause 5 ppl cant show up now due to summer, 35 ppl that are eager to get ahead should suffer w/ half TANGO'd raids? no i dont think so, and also note that the officers gave 2 months for the problem to sort itselfs out. and still nothing happend, it actualy got WORSE after the first announcement.

Didnt say that ppl should suffer i just ment that due 2 summer we have a Problem and that we may have a big issue coming when summer is over!

I agree that noone shall suffer from like u say 5 ppl being away/not there, but i think that adding more ppl now is a short term solution and will backfire! I REALLY hope iam wrong and i know its really really hard work to get 100 ppl together in a guild and make them work together! And U guys that make it work does a great job :thumb: ! And iam just adding a thought and i think u need thougts from us members for ur progress to make this an even better guild! And i hope that all members does the best they can do to make it easier for the management of the guild to make us the pride of Azsune!  :yes:

I'm hopeful we won;t have a *big* issue once summer is over, mainly because I am sure we will lose some people to natural wastage anyway over that period.

I have been a strong adovcate of not recruiting more for RG1 but in recent months, despite th epromises made to officers by members that their attendance would improve we have yet to see a full 40 person raid.  The attendance statistics show that we need more people and I have had to conclude that like it or not I would rather miss the odd raid than have insufficient RG1 members online of the right class balance to allow the RG1 raid to progress smoothly.

When RG1 is full of RG1 members, it really kicks TANGO.  I want to see more of that.

plz giv more ppl who wanna rly raid (or just demote some1), actualy (1h and 15 mins) before invites i can c only one on the absence thread and 4 on the vacation one
( 6*8 )+1 = 49 - 4 = 45 so we should have 5 ppl who can't raid tonight  due to full raid...i'm pretty sure we'll not be able to raid and we'll call it cuz not enought ppl will show up.
I'm sry i look for it so bad but sadly it's a lot of time this happens

I'm busy tonight and won't attend the raid.  But I haven't posted in neither absence thread nor vaccation thread, because if you paid some attention all raiding has been stoped from 1st of July to (and including) 6th of July...
Thus there shouldn't be any raid, no matter how many shows up...
