went to see Hayseed Dixie last night...Brilliant:thumbsupsmileyanim:
Apalachian stlye AC/DC tribute band (but more than that)

I first heard them a couple of years ago on a m8s cd, and been raving about em since. I've had some strange looks when I try to describe their music.
It sounds an odd combo but it really works...the songs sound like they were written for this style, they lend themselves well.

Tox saw them at Glasto' last year and enjoyed them again last night. My 14 year old daughter went last night as well(her first live band)...she was right at the front and was delighted to be given "the poop in a jar" (a plastic jobby...you had to be there) by the mandolin player.

Top night out...recommended:clap:

edit:Short Video

Oh I always thought it was after you saw Deliverance!
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.

:norty:  well the funny thing is the deliverance tune is the only song i want to play

Slightly more interesting than me practicing for 14 months and not quite getting it is the fact that the farther of the mandolin and banjo player from hayseed Dixie was the bloke that wrote dueling banjo's for the deliverance film all them years ago .. originally called feuding banjo's :flirty:

Was an excellent show, very interesting crowd as well. Metal heads to folk lovers and i even saw a few 'chavs'. :lmfao:

It was good to see them play a mixture and not just AC/DC covers. We had songs like Motorhead - Ace of Spades as well as Black Sabbath - War Pigs. (I personally thought that Hayseed Dixie did them better than the originals )

Definately worth seeing if they appear in your area.
