Quote from: Greatdanes;148790yea, something like that, but not the DKP system, it have to be from a person main you take and give DKP, I think.

Well otherwise it will get confusing........ should really keep it seperate.

Sazgul

Example for the DKP.

If TL joins RG2 run with Teaell, we are too give Teaelle DKP, also if Teaell gets an item Teaelle is deductet the DKP.
This requires that DKP Officer is beeing done aware of who's the alts main.

Btw the one doing DKP last night has to correct it. Im sure the rule is, alts use mains DKP.

But still mains over alts allways.

Correct on all counts.

RG2 ALTS IN INSTANCES

As we are progressing very well at the moment the Marshalls have decided to bring in the rule about Alts into Main Runs. We will be allowing alts into Molton Core and Onxyia's Lair.

The Way it Works

If the raid has 40 people in it and all are RG2 players we can have up to a max of 5 alts in the run (a max of one of each class), and it goes down with the less RG2 members we have so at 35 we would have 0.

This will allow it to be even across the board, now each class still needs to be balanced with the right amount, and this will be up to the marshalls to decide for which alt classes we need.

Rolling

Example: We are in a Molton Core and we only had 4 Druids, and we have a abundance of other classes who had a druid alt. We would allow those to roll and who ever got the highest roll allowed to swap as long as it keeps the raid balanced.

Times

If you do have a alt who you want to come to Molton Core with, then please leave him just outside the instance so we can have less on time delays.

Loot

DKP and deduction of Loot will be done from your main.

That ok??

Sazgul

Im ok with that. Besides, it can be hard to control who is allowed to roll if we only want those with a druid to roll? (ref. your example)

It's like if we have 6 paladins and the raid allows it, we let those paladin mains with alts roll for which one can bring an alt... aye?

yep its all about maintaining the balance in the raid

so if all agree ill post it.

Greatdanes

Okay, this means only class where there is less then 5 can be roll for and not if we got like 7-8 hunters, I roll for going on my priest if there is 5 priest's allready in the raid?

As long as the raid balances up its fine. People with alts should wisper us if they want to join.

Greatdanes

Okay - super

Apologies for the untimely response but here's how RG1 do it.

As opposed to your proposed 'look for an alt to fit class need' system, we do it the other way around:

We look at the 40 people in the raid and decide if from Mains we have any class where we could not afford to lose one of the mains.  Let's say the raid made up thus:

6 Tanks
4 Pallies
4 Druids
5 Mages
5 Locks
6 Rogues
6 Hunters
4 Priests
  • From the above we would deny Pallie, Druid and Priest mains from rolling.
  • We would then ask Tank mains who have a L60 alt to roll for the opportunity to relog to the alt.  The highest tank main roller gets to relog.
  • We would then ask Mage mains who have a L60 alt to roll for the opportunity to relog to the alt.  The highest mage main roller gets to relog.
  • We would then ask Lock mains who have a L60 alt to roll for the opportunity to relog to the alt.  The highest lock main roller gets to relog.
  • We would then ask Rogue mains who have a L60 alt to roll for the opportunity to relog to the alt.  The highest rogue main roller gets to relog.
  • We would then ask Hunter mains who have a L60 alt to roll for the opportunity to relog to the alt.  The highest hunter main roller gets to relog.
In this way it will nto matter what class the main's alt is and we know from the very start that any logging to an alt will not decimate a class to the point where it hurts the raid as we have ensured  that only those classes where we have an allowable surplus can roll.

This fits KISS and might work better than e.g. trying to decide which mains with druid alts across 4 different main classes will be the one to be allowed to relog.

Just my 2 cents.

The way TL describes it, is the way I always understood the Alt roll system. Lets use it, its KISS. Makes lesser work for us, and it works

DarkAngel

Sounds good to me look forward to implementing this on Thursdays run?
