Shadowsong

Well don't get me wrong, it realy think it's a good idea. I was just making a point and had a question.

Quoteget off ur arse n farm the rest, well and the elementium for TF

Well, the only thing I do in this game is bloody farming...yet it is still impossible to get like 5000G to get mats for just the epic sulf hammer.
And with enchanting as proffesion, you won't get dark iron and arcanite easy you know...

Again, don't get me wrong, Im not complaining, just making a point (and get some things straight). Better to get things straight than to find out the hard (bad) way. I didn't know about the ZG-rep thing, only been in ZG once with a guildrun and in AQ once, so I couldn't know.
You should not fear the dark itself...but what\'s in it!

Zabard

Just be sure that if the situation should arise that you can roll for a legendary item, that you are prepared to do the HUGE investement of time, money and effort to complete it. Would be a shame if it just lies around in some bank, never getting to be used.

Yes Im aware of that. Got enchanting and tailoring (DE items I make with tailoring).

But with estimate costs above 5000G (Sulf hammer) or above 7000G (Thunderfury) and BC coming next month (at least...that's what they say) it's a waste to roll for a legendary item if you are not RG1/2.
(Come to think of it, still got plenty of arcanite and stuff in horde guildbank....hmmmm)
Only bot-farmers can make such a great amount of money in such a short time solo.

Ah well, Im happy enough if I can a few set-items from MC.

I think the point is that RG1/RG2 members already contribute many hours of their time and gold in repairs , what I mean is, the mats that 'guildbank provide' for legendary item crafting came about due to the time and effort of RG1 and RG2, thus it is the members of which who get them back when needed. The alternative is to allow soldiers who may have spent an hour in MC thus far, access to mats that have taken RG1 and RG2 many months to accumulate. It may not seem fair but in essence Guardians and Defenders have ALREADY grinded for the mats and are just awaiting the drops while GB looks after them for us ;)

I know what you're saying tho, 'If we have to send drops and mats from mc to guildbank, why can't we get something in return' in which case, not a clue :D.

maybe boe/mats from signup MC should be primarily for money/mats for soldiers?

The guild bank is already using a LOT of money to provide Dark Iron Armor for the tanks needed and NR/FR etc pots for all the raids so we dont really have a lot of spare cash

Shadowsong

I get your point Umbra, I don't mind if RG 1/2 get legendaries first, it was just that I made a point that it is useless for soldier/alt to roll for a legendary.

And I can assure you, even though Im "just" a soldier, I have spent more than just a hour in MC:wink: (damn...no good wink smilies).
Like I said, still got a horde char guild-bank with some MC stuffies, I was the one that had the "experience" of MC so we could pull our own guild through. Guild fell apart though as soon as most didn't want to spent time on the learning curve for Maggy.

I would have gone for defender if I could, but timing is a bit of a problem.
(yeah, I do like raiding a lot)

I tell you this so you don't think Im some epic-whore (legendary?) soldier who want free legendaries because I just made a point about it.

Somehow I got the feeling an anouncement is turning in one huge discussion, sorry for that:smile:

Sorry SS, I wasn't getting derogatory at you at all, you'e a good chap, was just taking a guess at the reasoning, no idea how many hours someone like Gorion has spent in MC, probably about the same amount of time I've spent gaming/partying/hump1ng in total. so if a legendary drops no-one else in the raids minds if it goes to someone who a) has spent hundreds of hours/gold raiding with them and b) will use the kit to spend hundreds more hours/gold dying/learning with them.

there might be some link from total dkp to access rights to legendary, so peopel who live in SoG are more likely to get it.

Soldiers are good people indeed but TBH there's less holding them in the guild than Guardians/Defenders (not saying more likely to leave or no reason to stay, but certainly less reason)

hmmm, Am I a troll? :(
