Rg2

Over the last few months Rg2 has gone through a lot of problems loosing people to other guilds, people being childish over loot etc. Its now coming to the point were we have being recruiting a lot to fill the spots which is great.
 
I think we need to bond more with the new people as they seem distance just thinking of ways to do that? As in rg2 its still quite new but most that stayed since beginning know each other and what to do, as well as what is expected of them.

My thoughts for livening things up:

Speed the raid up - the single biggest difference between RG1 and RG2 is the down time between pulls.  It's also the single toughest thing to control, but you have to make a huge effort to push the time down to as small as possible between pulls as people get bored, then go AFK and then you have to wait even more for them to return.

Use TS more - no two raid groups are ever the same, but RG2's TS is very 'straight-laced' & 'formal' and doesn't have the humour that RG1's has.  This comes from the officers - try to introduce some humour to the raid and lighten up a bit - it all sounds so very serious when I am in RG2 TS channel.  The lead has to come from the officers in this respect.

Management Style - this is a personal comment, so it could be way off, but people tend to react better when not challenged publically.  A couple of times the other night I noticed that when checking members knew what to do in a fight you asked a public question eg "do you know where to sheep the legionnaires", followed up by "show me where you should be sheeping the legionnaires".  This is quite challenging for member and sounds quite stern, whereas you could get the same result by making a general comment "we need to make sure we sheep the legionnaires and drop them in the right place as its very important etc" followed up with a "and this is where we sheep them ".  Same result, less confrontational.

This came up last night and I am going to reintroduce the idea for RG1 too - maybe it is something you set as a target for the start of the raid for RG2?

Communicate More on TS - and get more members to speak on TS.  There is far too much fragmentation on different channels and on different voice comm packages.  For example, those that use Ventrillo & TS at the same time - there's enough going on in one channel without having to run two channels at the same time - get everyone on TS and use TS to the fullest extent - use private channels on TS to talk to specific peoplke if you need, but keep it on the TS channel if at all possible as otherwise you are perpetuating the fragmention.  Encourage people to speak up and get microphones or use them if they already have one!

Communication is the key to most of these things - with that comes bonding.  I could be completely off the mark here, but these are my personal thoughts.  I hope they help, they are not meant in a nasty way, they laid out honestly to try to help you.  I hope they do.

Speed the raid up - doable and a great idea, something we could work with.
 
Use TS more - then we need to have Siff & Ragefull to be quiet....
 
Management Style - agree this way you never get a singel person to feel he is stupid because he have doubts on what he's job are.

Communicate More on TS - some of the danish Marshals did use VT to talk on in the start of RG2 but we don't have done that since Ragefull become RL.
But yes there is still some danish people talking on VT in raids instead of TS and I doubt we can stop that, but we can try.

Some great ideas and i really want more people talking on TS as i really enjoy having a laugh. And thanks for your input TL some great ideas and really want to bring them into RG2 and get the group together again.

The quote on different styles of saying how to do i know is my style, and i will try to change this. I see that your style is much prefered since its better for those so they dont feel "stupid".
Our TS chat is very serious, but its really hard to start something up with our guys/girls i think. I try to encourage all to speak on TS, but we are strugling with it cause ppl are shy or something. Very few ppl speak on TS, mostly only me, DA and a few more. We have sometimes tryed to losen up the tension, but again hard...
Yes i nor the others use Ventrilo anymore during raids, however some of the other danish members of RG2 use it...
