The standard rush is sometimes less effective than we would hope. Some of our rushes fail because our team is too spread out. Another reason i think they dont work as well as we plan is because the enemy has heard us and was able to call for back up. I think if executed properly the 'slow rush' could be a lot more effective. It requires us to walk the whole of the way until we either: 1.get spotted. or 2.plant the bomb.

I think the "slow rush" could be used on a number of maps. The ones i've thought about are (unsuprisingly) Dust_2, Aztec and Inferno.

Dust_2.

The closest one to B needs to run to the raised area of spawn overlooking B tunnels, from here he can watch for the possible CT rusher from 'lower B tunnels'.

The rest of the team run to the ramp but walk to the boxes, it's important that the team stay out of sight of the tunnels.

When nearing the tunnel entrance the team need to be prepared to wait so the one person who played 'spotter' can rejoin the group, preferably we should wait to the left of the entrance, behind the boxes. keeping out of sight.

Once the team has regrouped we can continue to walk into the tunnels. (This is the point of no return, if we are spotted or heard here the rush needs to commence) First man in, or 'point-man' needs to keep his primary weapon equiped and be ready to open fire.

The first 4 of the team should aim to push to the far wall with the last man covering the steps to 'lower B tunnels' from one of the dark corners.

We then walk through the last stretch of tunnels, keeping to the right.

If all goes well we can walk into the bomb site and plant without them even knowing we're in there.

It is crucial that everyone walks. That is unless we are spotted.

I'll add pics to aid understanding if needed and I'll add Inferno and Aztec if this is one is recieved well.

Ok .....walking into B is a bit dangerous ...and the spotter in B will tend to keep walking  up to the entrance to keep peeking to see if the other team is walking in there ....then we have the problem of flashes being lobbed in and blinding us so we walk into a wall of bullets ....but we can try these things ...thats what praccy is for ....just we dont seem to have any organisation with practice yet as we need to get regular help from willing Beta company players ....buta as time goes on we could start to get more organised.

Good to see some thought being put into tactics again though Hippy ...nice one!!

not trying to be negative here at all, just a few comments ... 8)
I really was not born to work ALL my life !!!!!

Hes not saying we walk in, he saying we walk to the choke point, then as soon as we get close enough or get spotted we rush it, giving them less chance of back up

The main point of 'slow rushing' is to keep quiet enough, for long enough to allow for a greater chance of getting into the site before the back up arrives.

You've got valid cause for concern, but as we get spotted the walk turns to a classic rush. Only we'll be closer and the CTs will have less warning, I dont think theres anymore risk of getting flashed and naded than the standard way.

Also I think with the 'point man' ready to shoot there wont be a problem with a CT spotter, as soon as he peeks round the corner he'll be staring down the barrel of a gun.

The point man has the advantage of expecting someone to be coming around the corner, where as the CT spotter will be expecting to hear a noise before he sees anything.

Like you say we'll have to practice it to see if my ideas will work.
