I got some whispers the other night in naxxramas from priests and i must say the made sense to me hence i want to rediscuss this.
The question asked was why do we have feral and balance druids in here while we are not free to spec what we want...
I cannot disagree on this hence i promised them to rediscuss.
I also asked who would stay raid spec and who shadow and only jeeb is interested in shadow atm. As it is of now i cannot enforce them to not spec shadow cause the rule is not equal for other classes. Some might find this not a valid point however i do. I would like some feedback on this.

Tanales

Well if they still can heal as well as before im open for it, but if we loose anymore healing we can forget about doing much Naxx before TBC.

I think the difference between different specs between a druid and priest is not quite the same comparison.  If they are asking why we have both feral & balanced in the raid then my initial response might be to re-roll druid.  Looking at the diff in healing though between a shadow spec priest and a holy/disc priest they are like chalk and cheese.  It would be good to have Vargen's input on the feral side.

But, tbh, the bottom line is when we have no tanks dying in the fight then we can show good cause to reduce healing and add DPS.  Whilst they continue to die............. you know the rest.

When we level in the early days of TBC I suspect we will have to allow all and any talent builds, but when we they want to get serious about raiding again then we need appropriate specs (which my or may not include shadow).

Bastet

I dont think we currently have a full feral druid in the raid, but where priest shadow spec totaly mangles the healing the druid trees are better due to some more co-op between the trees;

Feral gets +20% more int and +3% more to all stats, granting them a bigger mana pool, also you can get this talent and still have the 15% mana regen while casting from resto.

Balance gets -9% mana cost to all healing spells (and offensive spells), 25% of int as +healing/dmg and 10% of int as mana per 5. Also our balance druids have improved Feary Fire, improving all melee dps while its active by 1,5%.

Quoteunder current game mechanics, shadow priests and warlocks are not viable for DPS slots. 2 warlocks are viable for CoR and CoE, where 10% of all mage DPS + Warlock DPS > 1 Mage DPS, or 10% of Hunter/Rogue/Warrior DPS + Warlock DPS > 1 Hunter/Rogue/Warrior.

It's the sad truth.
There is a thread on the DnT forum which is well worth a read.  Amongst all the BS in the 10 pages (yes TEN pages) there are some damn good solid arguments, including the one listed above.  The first 7 pages contain the bulk of the argument, I suggest that it is read as it is worth the time spent.  You can find it here.
