In the other thread Bob said he liked hagelslag. Here's some other stuff from the NL which you should try when you're in the Netherlands.
 
"Hagelslag", also known as "sprinkels".

"Stroopwafels" (people from the LAN allready know these), also known as "syropwaffle".

You can get them @ Starbucks in the UK but only in the smaller version.
 
"Stamppot", best eaten when it's cold outside.

The two first l find rather nice (although the pictues I found of Hagelslag really didn't looked like chokolate), but the last one? im not that fond of Sauer Kraut Im afraid..

The picture on Wikipedia show a better picture of "hagelslag".
 
Lateron I've added "oliebollen" but I know what you mean but there are several variants of "stamppot". The one you are refering to is not my favourite aswell but with a bit of pineapple in it it tastes alot better.
The 1 with carrots in it tastes really good. It has mashed potatoes, carrots and a bit of onions in it.

Sauerkraut's lovely dude!

mind you, I only like cabbage/sauerkraut/sprouts etc if they're drenched in gravy.

You can also get some serious pancakes (pannekoeken) with strange toppings and fillings. Almost like a pizza, but with pancake! Strange as it sounds, bacon does go with syrup.
