Track cutting

This thread on the LFS forum strikes a chord with me. Anyone else? If there's enough that feels the same about having 4 wheels off the track, and don't get me wrong, I do it too, perhaps a post race discussion could take place. Just a thought. Don't get too excited.
EDIT: Just read the thread again. Ignore the bits about throttle cutting etc. It's where they move on to track cutting I was interested in.

Personally, if there's tarmac about, I generally aim for it. I'd ride a kerb if the suspension handles it but I won't cut deliberately. Sometimes, I've no recourse but to chase badgers, but it's not deliberate.
If people are using what equates to a map exploit, tough if someone plonks down a ton of concrete and a haybale on your racing line.

I did not read the entire thread, but I think that LFS has a system to check what is allowed regarding cutting. It is the hot lap.
Anything allowed there, must be allowed in the race.

That is the point. In a 'hotlap' the constraints are very tight. Put one wheel off, or scrape one barrier incurs an invalid lap. In online races these constraints are not applied. Cut away to your heart's content, you'll not be penalised.
