TS Meeting 23/5/07

Meeting started 18:15 and lasted till 19:00.
The following were present: Elly, Gorion, Oth and myself.

Things discussed:

• We will open up for invites again. If somebody wants to join, they will have to get a member to submit an application on their behalf (the system has been discussed earlier in [post=176010]this thread[/post]).
  If we should be in a situation where we need a class, and nobody has any friends playing that specific class, than we will announce this in public forums such as the Aszune realm forum and our own, asking for people interested to PM an officer to get an application form.
  
• To ease up member management, raid stuff etc, we will get a more functional forum structure with more sub-forums in the officers' section. The following sub-forums can be nice to have for starters: "General", "Member issues" and "Raiding". The last one should also be accessible to Tenilia (and other that might be raid leaders).
• Due to lack of possibilities to control it, we will put that joint-guild channel with Genesis on hold. If we should find need for it at a later point, we can review the discussion on this matter.
• When we start raiding, we will use a zero-sum DKP system, similar to what Genesis is using. It is tweaked to reward wipe nights, and one should avoid the inflation problem we had with our old system.
• When we start raiding, we will use a sign-up system. No raid ranks will be made yet. A rotation system will be made, in order to avoid the same person having to be in queue several raids in a row.
• As there are no longer any dMw seniors in the SOG administration, dMw will no longer supply us with forum and TS-server services for free. We will pay them £10 on a monthly basis. Gorion has payed £160 already, so we are covered for some time to come.

There will be made a PayPal account for SOG (Oth is taking care of this) where we will encourage members to donate a bit to help us keep the forum. Nobody will be forced to pay anything, but hopefully people will see that the whole guild benefits greatly from and it's not something the officers can or should take care of alone.
For the first period, all donations coming will go back to Gorion to compensate for the money he already has payed.[/LIST]This is all I could think of for now - Elly and Oth are nagging on me to come online, so I'll have to fix it later if something is wrong or missing
I will later try to make some drafts for announcements and fixes to our old application form.

This is done and I am awaiting confirmation (from people posting in the topic) that I have set up the forum permissions correctly and that only SOG Officers and Drazila can see the topic.  Teni cannot see this main War Room.

Genesis use sort of zero-sum hour DKP system.  We earn DKP by the hour (which means you are rewarded for turning up and being there putting the effort in) and then periodically the DKP we have earned is 'adjusted' to zero sum it.  DKP item values are worked out according to a formula.  Further info can be obtained from Kregoron or Menedil as they did the main work for it, I did not!

A small correction here.  The donation to community funds was £130 (listed on the forum here), not £160.  I have also asked Gorion if he would like the donation 'public' (ie noted as coming from SOG) or kept private.  

Finally, as an aside, I would reiterate my support for SOG.  As far as dMw 'management' goes I will continue to try to fight your corner and assist wherever I can.

A small correction here. The donation to community funds was £130 (listed on the forum here), not £160.  

yep, 130, the extra 10 was to ensure the full 120 would make it into the account since paypal has charges
